Any over the top Henderson celebration today for saving a shot down 3-4 goals?
Without joking he seems nothing special, his stint with Sheffield United was great. Not with Forest I don't think he's done anything special.

Really excited about this one. He’s the 2022 Bolo de Ouro winner, Brazilian attacking midfielder and looks ever so slightly unhinged. He’s 28 and on a 3 year deal. The deal was put in place over the summer so we’ve always known he was coming in. He’ll join up with us in Greece for our winter break trading camp. We also tried to sign his mate at Palmiras - Olaf Bodgit.

If he adapts he's going to be a fantastic signing. He's more a box2box than an attacking midfilder though. Tactically he's well prepared, Abel Ferreira is a very tactically cult manager (Palmeiras plays either 4x2x3x1, 4x3x3, 3x5x2, 3x4x3, etc) and puts a lot of focus on intensity. His corner taking ability is something amazing, will give you some important goals and his vision and passing will improve your team (if he adapts).
The other player you're referring is Danilo?

Great stuff - thanks for that. Looking at some YouTube clips we thought he was maybe coming to replace/compete with Lingard on the left of our front three but if he’s a box2box then it could be on the left of midfield along side Yates and Frueler. We’ve badly missed James Garners balls into the box and this guy looks great at these and as you said, corners and free kicks. Ryan Yates will love this guy firing balls into the box onto his head. Exciting times - who’d have thought 12 months ago we’d have 2 Brazilians in the team!
Oh - the other guy reference was an (very) old joke about dodgy builders - Bodgit and Scarper.

He played in a behind closed doors game in Greece today. He created the first goal - an OG from a corner and crossed the ball for a Ryan Yates header For the second.

He was the engine of Palmeiras. Abel Ferreira trusted him so much that he was probably deployed in every possible position in some games, with the exception of center back and defensive midfielder.
Danilo is another amazing player from Palmeiras, he will be a world class anchor for the following years. Abel Ferreira might be a very reactive manager, but he knows how to take the best out of his players.

Hmm. I think Forest should ease him in gently and not give him any playing time until January... Lingard will do you just fine until then.

Looks like a tricky bastard who will thrive in the Prem. Could well bring you guys up another level.

I can’t believe we got him on a free for the next 3 half years - the lad looks incredible. We can’t play him in the league until Jan 1st for contractual reasons, but Coops said post match, he’s on a specific training schedule to get his fitness up etc so I would guess subs bench and the last 20 - 30 mins for a while. Bloody hell he’s exciting though.

Going by that cameo, Scarpa is going to be a literal and metaphorical game changer for Forest.

Good win for them last night especially considering their away form. The 100 new signings seem settled in for the most part and it's come at a good time, Johnson's improved too but his finishing is still letting him down. MGW is great too.

They have improved a lot over the course of the season. Moved up from last place to 13th. Taken 10 of 15 points in the last 5 games.

Looking like keeping Cooper was the right decision.

Very good form at City ground since mid October, that win v Liverpool changed everything for mentality and now they're a hard team to score past.

Can they sign Henderson this month or is that more likely end of the season? That's a permanent I'd be doing if possible as he's loving it there.

Danilo for 20M was a bargain. If he adapts, he's going to be one of the best holding midfielders of his generation.

After Felipe from Atleti too and apparently Keylor Navas is on the way.

Some good moves, obviously signed shit loads but they've a lot of injuries now and they'll have a decent squad at the end of it. The first 20 odd they signed seem to have finally clicked for the most part and they've been getting results. Gibbs-White is looking worth the money which seemed shitloads at the time!

Still a bit uncomfortable with the idea that a club can sign as many as they are in one season.

So their CMs (well, DMs and AMs) are Scarpa, Lingard, Gibbs-White, Shelvey, Danilo, Mangala, Colback, O'Brien, Cafu, Kouyate, Yates and Freuler. 12 players for basically 3 positions. Madness.

If you split into Midfield 3 and attacking 3 in makes more sense:
Front 3 - Lingard, MGW, Scarpa (can play both)
Midfield - Danilo (not up to speed fitness wise yet + only 21), Mangala, Colback (occasional sub), O’Brian (may be off on loan as not working), Cafu (not part of the 25) Kouyate (out for the season), Yates (mystery illness, missed last match), Frueler, Shelvey.

That makes more sense then. I think Danilo will ultimately prove an incredible signing for you guys. Scarpa looks nifty too. MGW seemed overpriced when Forest signed him but I have the feeling he’ll justify the fee and maybe even go to a top 6 club at a profit.

I’m still coming to terms with us having 3 quality Brazilians in our first team and not perpetually in the bottom half of the Champ. If MGW can add some goals to his game then he yes, a top 6 side and the England squad. Danilo has a lot of Forest era Keane about him (I’m old enough to have seen Keane for Forest). Scarpa’s got the squad addicted to Rubics cubes, he’s hilarious!

Can we change the name of the thread to FC Floresta de Nottingham: Premier league watch? Felipe spotted at the City Ground.

You still after a keeper or nothing after Navas isn't looking like a goer?
We’ve been linked with 3 others during the window - Update - It looks done - Nevas in on a loan to the end of the season.

haha - we thought it would get better now we don’t get kicked off the pitch twice a year by your lot (and QPR, Blackburn and Luton)
When you’ve got the likes of Yates and Worrall in your side you can’t complain about it

Yatesy is a gent and would always help you up after he’d taken you out. Admit it, you‘d worship our Ryan if he was a blade?

Personally don’t rate him. He’s there to be a s house and that’s it. Walking yellow card.

Fair enough - for us he’s the first name on the team sheet, the heartbeat and engine of the team. Signed for us at 8 years old and Roy Keane called him the most dedicated footballer he’s ever coached. Ryan is a bit of a throwback to the 70’s and 80’s when football was better. I’d rather see us relegated then sell Yatesy.

They're putting together the most random collection of players I've ever seen.

Signing Keylor Navas and Jonjo Shelvey on the same day ffs

Last season they had squad of 25 players 8n Championship. This season they bought 25 more. That is 50 players.
Where are all those players? I am not seeing that they are selling much.
