I called Mazraoui being used ad RCB a few days ago. No surprises that Amorim shifted him there, but I am surprised he was so conservative as what I expected is him used as a ball-carrier from deep.
Anyway, he didn't look comfortable (still had a good game) but he's got the right skill set for this role. Not sure about RWB as he doesn't seem to have much attacking threat.

Super player but personally thought he looked out of place as a central defender.
Amorim needs to get this right. Yes he can play anywhere on the pitch but we severely lacked his quality on the side that mattered most. He should be the first name as a wingback.
One of the better performers. I think once we have more fit CBs he will take the RWB position with Amad pushing higher up the pitch.

I thought he was pretty poor defensively tbh. Obviously he's out of position but I don't really get the hype about that particular performance.
Because of how comfortable he is on the ball, and he gets stuck in. Proper UTD player in my opinion.

Not his best game for me, not by far, but I wouldn’t say poor either. He did well enough, IMO, won most duels, mostly safe with the ball. A few hiccups, sure, which was true of everyone bar Onana today, and slow to pass the ball out from the back. Amorim gave us the answer to the last one, praise him, when he said that the CB’s struggled for passing options because the forward players don’t know hoe to position themselves well enough yet.

Love this guy. Cool on the ball and seems to make the right decision every time, consistency personified.

He is such a classy footballer. I find myself tracking him sometimes on the edge of the TV, and you can see his head is always scanning to see what is happening around him, and he moves into the right positions to cut off certain passing lanes even when the ball is on the other end of the pitch.

He's miles ahead of everyone else when it comes into football basics... and that alone made him one of the best performer on the pitch in a barely functional team.

How so? You think he would have made a better job than AMAD? RWB stayed quite deep all game, not sure if Mazraoui would've made any difference there and definitely less offensive threat.

His ‘floor’ performance is the best we have at the club. He generally doesn’t miss a beat.

He’s not going forward enough as a RCB and will never do. He is an excellent user of the ball and always makes the right decision.
Ofcourse he won’t dribble like Amad but he will provide width, strength, solid defence and ball carrying ability + bring others into play.
He definitely has to play as a wing back imo. I don’t know where Amad can fit in but both Amad and Mazroui need to be in the team and have the ball closer to the final third - they are our best players.
It isnt just the dribbling, Amad did it with speed. Thats the reason we got any goals or looked like scoring at any point, because Amad had that speed and ability to dribble and link up with a teammate.
Mazaraoui has average speed. He's fine passing the ball. He's been at his best for us trying to win the ball, which he was allowed to do a lot playing RCB
Judge it over a few seasons, to see if he stays fit. He has a poor record. Best signings over longer periods for the club have been players that are available every week

Wonder if he could be an option in midfield for Man Utd. We have Martinez/Shaw, Maguire/Evans/Lindeløf, Yoro/de Ligt as options in defence.
Absolutely 20m for dalot has been decent business. Or Bruno. We have got a lot more value from Maguire than many other signings despite a really high fee.
Came here to say this. I'd love to see him in midfield once Yoro gets going. Rotating Mazraoui, Mainoo and Ugarte sounds a lot more palatable than throwing in Eriksen or Casemiro right now.
Hilariously good footballer man. Took a poor touch yesterday and instead of panicking he just sent the oncoming pressing man to the shops calmly and then played an outside the foot line breaker to Rasmus to spring him.

Best signing in recent years, and one that came without the hype for the most part. The biggest concern was his injury record, touch wood he stays fit because we'd look massively worse without one of the only composed players in the team available.
