He's not a player who will ever set the world alight, but he gets the job done consistently with no frills, which is what we need sometimes.

Considering the fee that we paid, he continues proving to be one of the best value-for-money signings we have made for many years. Hopefully Morocco dont go very far in AFCON, much like Cameroon & Cote d'Ivoire...

I'm very happy that his poor form towards the end of last season appears to be the outlier, and he's now back performing like he was for most of the season. He's our best RCB as far as I'm concerned and (as long as he's in form) should play there whenever he's fit unless we need to give him the odd rest.

They'll probably win the whole thing.

I think of those 3 Cameroon is expected to be finished the earliest. Unfortunately the other 2 are expected to go deep

Tbh what if they come home early, upset and start to play like shit :D ? I just hope they all come back uninjured

For now he's easily better than Yoro, I love Yoro and would love to see him progress into our new Varane or Rio. The competition at the back is fierce as Maguire, De Ligt and Shaw have also been good when fit in my view. Heaven and Martinez are also picking up form.

As a full back, the RCB role suits him more than Yoro as he is more comfortable on the ball. When you have him, Heaven and Shaw, they can pass forward a lot quicker and do when they can be bothered.

As a CB in a defensive 2 though, I'd go with Yoro. Maz's one glaring issue is his defensive heading. It is probably the worst I've seen from any United player. Never any distance on it and the ball tends to end up towards the middle of our box!

Does well there because the ball from Amrabat is terrible.

Missed him today.. If he was playing instead of Yoro we win the game.

Another rock solid performance last night against Mbuemo. Don't think this guy gets enough attention, people forget how good a fullback he is (as opposed to offering little offensive threat from wing back). Will be a key player for us rest of season, think he's a class act.

He was amazing as the right CB in a back three and also at full back. Can’t wait to have him back in our team

He was good as the RCB. Amazing is way OTT. His best position is Full Back, and should be one of the big benefits for us playing 4 at the back.

Man Utd 3:2 Fulham
Nice to have him back. Thought his cameo was decent and he played a good incisive pass in the buildup to the winner.

That was actually Dalot's best game of the season but Nous needs to take a hold of this RB spot.

This is actually one of the subs we should be making every game at around 60 minutes. Dalot to Nous or vice versa. Keep the energy up.

Dalot can be a decent player when he plays in his ideal position for a longer period of time. Though I really like Mazraoui, I don't mind having two good players for the same position.

Should start today at LB imo. This will be an intense game and Shaw could catch a break. If we're not playing Sesko up front then Mazraoui intensity will be more useful than Shaw crossing. Also feels like Shaw and Cunha is not a great combination attacking wise.

Normally Shaw plays but this is one of the rare occasions where we play a game 3 days after previous one. Away game as well.

He's played 9 minutes across 4 games under Carrick, including a Saturday/Tuesday back to back where we chose to start Shaw twice (and he was predictably worthless in the second game vs West Ham)

Bench again tonight.

This is the problem when you get booted out of every single competition so early. Generally speaking, Dalot and Shaw have played well under Carrick. Likewise the front three vs Sesko on the bench.

It’s going to be very hard to justify to a manager to change an unbeaten side when we only play once every 10 days or so

We play next Sunday and then again on the Wednesday. He'll need to obviously rest players, but also give minutes to the players who have not been featuring as much (i.e. Heaven, Yoro, Mazraoui, Sesko, and, erm, Ugarte...)

Is Mount feeling fit enough to play some football again?

Would be great to be 3-0 up early doors then he can use 5 subs for a decent amount of time.

In truth there aren't a lot of players on our bench who should be realistically in contention for a starting place.

Yoro starts tonight due to Martinez's injury. Outside of that, Sesko could get a start in place of another attacker and possibly Mazraoui if Shaw needs a rest.

Any other changes would be made for the sake of doing so. I'd probably still take my chances starting Casemiro for that midweek game because the drop off to Ugarte is so steep.

Yeah. Same.

Proved today he had been underused since AFCON.

Far more energetic than Shaw.

Did well but you can tell he prefers coming on to his right foot.

Prefer the left foot balance but reads the game so well.

Did well when he came on. Solid performance and will get some good minutes now with Shaw out.

Liked him more than Shaw: at least he joins attacks down the flank

Maybe not an early crosser but I bet he'd be able to ping in a good one if needed an he can always fake the cross with his left and shift it to his right with an inside cross.

Brilliant in the interplay, likes his tenacity and stamina.
