I love this signing. For 15 mil euros we got reliable full back who can cover both flanks.
He is not world beater but does what is needed.

Brilliant player. Prefer him at the minute to Shaw at left back who is just coasting through games with zero intensity.

He’s got to be better than Dalot at right back when’s he’s having one of his special days, like today

Quality player. Won't even mind if he has to stand in on LB a few games for Shaw.

Did he change the game today or am I imaging things? I thought he was excellent, much more mobile than Shaw and we really need that extra bit of athleticism.

I would pay him RB and Dalot LB from now on.

Horrible person

Quality player

The opposite of you and me

Newcastle 2:1 Man Utd New
One of the few that can say they played alright tonight.

I think he should be an automatic starter. Whether on the left or right. I get that Carrick didn't want to mess with a winning formula so it took a while to get him back in the 11, but he had to keep his place now. One of our better players who has a long term future here.

The foul on him wasn't even looked at which directly led to Carrick bringing Malacia on and him basically costing us the game.

Man Utd 1:2 Leeds United New
The back three suited him, I don’t think he is up to playing at fullback and with the injury issues as well we should be looking to move him on.

I agree. I thought he showed promise when he first arrived, but he’s half the player Dalot is, and Dalot is a player we need to upgrade.

Looked exceedingly pedestrian tonight, a lack games and no sharpness in his play.

I agree with all of this. I don't really see him as a fullback or as a centre back. I don't think he has any real long-term use here. One to move on and replace quickly.

We definitely need to upgrade Dalot but he’s arguably our best full back and he’s miles ahead of Mazraoui and Shaw physically. Those two tonight jut weren’t up to it tonight and the reality is we need a starting RB and LB.

When was the last time Utd had two full backs that could lay a claim to being in the top four in the league. They've been such terrible positions for us for so long.

He’s living off about 6 months of good football in his debut season, really.

This guy shows the hate for Dalot is irrational. Dalot is likely not a starter for a consistently top 4 team, is more at a squad level but even then he provides miles more than Mazraoui. Mazraoui can't really take on a defender, isn't the strongest 1 to 1 defender, he's the most basic of fullbacks.

He makes Dalot look like a good rb. Thats enough to tell me he needs to go.

How many times has he played RB? He played there when he first came and looked really good week after week, often being lauded on here as one of the best performers. Since we've gone back to 4 at the back he's barely played. So I'm not sure what your judgement is based on.

This isn't true either. Check his stats, he wins an incredible amount of duels, particularly for his size. I really wouldn't call him basic either. He's got a good football brain and usuially makes the right decisions.(yes he was awful tonight as I said earlier)

I agree he is our best full back. Which is not a ringing endorsement.

He’s always fit, is versatile (even though he’s poor on the left), and got energy. He’s a good squad player, but we need more.

If Maz can’t be better than Dalot, then he’s got no business being at the club.

Another player who has turned bang average after a good first few months. Last time he played we lost to Newcastle, too, by the looks of it.

I'm starting to think he might have that Ugarte curse where we play worse when he's on the pitch. Was part of the shocker at Newcastle too.

It takes something special to make the fans say "I wish Dalot was playing today".

Dalot is just so much more physically imposing and that makes a huge difference. He's faster, stronger and can make those powerful runs to carry the ball forward. Better at winning aerial duels too. I used to give Mazraoui the slight edge in terms of technique but i'm not so sure about that anymore. He will be on the bench for a while.

He should stay on the bench for the rest of the season. So he can be considered the best RB in the world.

Mazraoui is a good player...but like de Ligt, Martinez and Shaw, is injury prone. United simply cannot have so many defenders that are constantly being crocked or working their way back to semi-fit.
