He's been on the pitch something like eighteen minutes total and had two close-calls, both from good movement (one maybe from luck but residue of preparation and all that)

If he scores one against Brugge and gets subbed off early, that's still 1 goal/90'

It's not worked out. But its just a loan and you can't blame him for taking the chance
I hope this is a joke? He has barely had 40 minutes combined for us yet. In that time he has been unlucky not to get 2 goals. This place is getting out of hand writing people off. It was Bruno last week, and now with Ighalo.

I was joking. Actually I think he’s been quite lively so far!

Jury is still out.
What's the jury deciding? It's a six month loan to ensure we don't run Martial and Greenwood ragged. To that end he's serving his purpose. Unlucky that lad got back on the line once Ighalo rounded Foster on Sunday.

He's played about 15 minutes off the bench over all his appearances and people are debating whether it's worked out or not.

He looks quite bulky and top heavy, like he has been hitting the weights in China.

I would like him to keep working with the GB track team so he can slim down a bit and maybe regain his quickness.

Got to give him a few games before forming an opinion but at the end of the day someone has to score the goals we'll be missing with Rashford out.
Him looking like he's really trying and going close here and there won't cut it after a while, has to be hitting the back of the net.
Realistically we needed a top striker in top form but what we got was one who was basically in semi retirement.

Great to see him score, his link up play was good too. His movement was very good, even when passes wasn't played, he made runs then reset, then made runs again.

Outside of his goal he actually looked like a pretty good player in linking play.

Attacks the right spaces, can hold the ball up well and has got a good first touch too and linked up with Bruno quite a bit. Not bad for a free!

Only real striker on this team and you can tell by his hold up and link up play

Good hold up play but otherwise he seems slow and by no means a United caliber player

don't think you know what you're talking about.

He's done exactly what has been required of him in his 3 games so far. Has hit the ground running, despite being pre season fit, into a new team.

I can see him turning into a quality no 4 striker squad player. Fits the profile perfectly.

Viva Ighalo!

Understandably faded out of the game and looked a bit off the pace due to fitness. Was very positive in the first half. So pleased for him. He’s going to be a good squad player.

Still looks off the pace but he did alright and got a goal. He'll be fine for this time but I don't think he's a player we should sign permanently.

Just listening to his interview - his enthusiasm for the club is so infectious. Some of our other so-called 'dedicated' players could learn a thing or two from him. Great to see, delighted for him.

Goals aside, seems to have the most important ability a lone No 9 can have.... He can hold the ball up with his back to goal... None of our other lads can do this. It gives a focal point for the attacking midfielders to play the ball in to, and make runs off. He played a big part in Mata and Bruno looking so good tonight.

Yeah, he's talking as if he belongs here already. If he's willing to take a massive pay cut and be our 3rd or 4th striker, why not

Really? That's a dreadful post. Sure he faded as the game went on but his holding up the ball, quick simple passes and movement really played a big part of allowing our creative players to shine.

Come on a lot bounced off of him, his control and touch ain't great but meh who cares he's on loan to get us out of trouble
Take a look around. You're in the minority. First start for close to 3 months remember. And his link up play was good. He tired towards the end but that was expected.

Well done Odion . I'm genuinely delighted for him . He will only get better and not a bad back up striker . Sign him up
