Turning out to be an inspirational signing. Does exactly what is asked of him.

Hoping we can sign him on a longer term contract.

He'll be a cult hero by the time he leaves. He's a very important signing really, the rotation he offers is going to be crucial in the coming weeks.

He must have had 20 touches max but he was involved in everything that won us the game - the goal, getting their player sent off, receiving the pass from Pogba for the Maguire goal.
All of this. Made up for Ighalo that he keeps making big contributions to us. As a fan he must be loving it.

He's an absolute fecking specimen... Kept himself in tremendous shape over lockdown and could hold off a train.

His work in the build up to the red card is brilliant centre forward play. I think he’s great; such a different option to what we already have.

He's doing the job that Lukaku should have done, but couldn't because his technique was ghastly. Ighalo is much better with his back to goal and offers a great deal more than just poaching and running in behind. He generally looks a lot fitter too, despite being on the wrong side of 30. He's been a solid signing.

Good poacher's goal and movement for the red card foul. Great back up striker to have

Totally different player than I thought he was. Throwback striker in some ways in being exceptionally powerful with his back to goal, occupying defenders and having a nose for goal. Little complicated or flashy in his game, but competent and effective in much of his game. Great move by the club to bring him in.

You have to imagine what Villa must be smoking when a player like him was potentially available only for them to go for Samantha. Glad he is with us, Ighalo my brother!

No he definitely has some flash in him. The flick in the city game, the goal against LASK..

Thought he was okay but his touch wasn't very good. Good for these games though.

History has been very kind to Henrik Larsson's short spell at United, how will Ighalo be remembered? Because for me he's been better than Larsson.

Remember he took a pay cut to come to his dream club. Doubt he would have done the same for Villa.

Yes, his touch hasn't looked great in the last couple of games, but I remember it was the same when he first joined, and gradually got better.

I'm more concerned by the fact that he looks like he really labours to move his limbs when sprinting.

Didn't put a foot wrong, playing an unforgiving role that most strikers look bad doing. Unlucky not to get a goal as a reward - he'd have scored if not for the red card foul.

The game was shite but surely you can remember who scored our goals.

A huge annoyance to defenders, I think. Even if he's not always a huge goal threat he holds the ball up, moves defenders around and makes space for others to work in. A selfless player. He also took his chance well today.

Can’t fault the guy one bit. Has done exactly what he’s been brought in to do and more. Always makes some kind of impact when he plays and usually gets on the scoresheet as well. Also the fact he’s a massive fan makes it all the better!!

He’s the striker who would break his nose to score a goal that Ole mentioned before. I knew he’d be a huge success here.

Um ... he scored the first one.

This guy is as inspired a signing as Bruno - having the option of a player like him but, just not any player, someone that produces and fights the whole way through - we are incredibly lucky.

Prefer if we don't. A season long loan (the current deal) suffices.

Once we get a new starting RW, Greenwood will alternate there and ST/CF.
That's why you're not a manager :wenger:

He's a great signing because he offers the opposite of our other strikers without being a hoof ball specialist. He's what Fellani and Lukaku were to Mourinho but actually has decent technical ability and can play equally as good on the deck as in the air.

Great signing and I anticipate we'll sign him if he continues.

His touch was average today but lack of game time will do that. A strikers touch is always exaggerated because they're often under the most pressure and have less room to make a mistake.

I really like this guy. Great enthusiasm for the club with huge performances to back it up.

Has he already outscored Sanchez for us?

Will be remembered fondly as a cult hero for sure

That goal of his is difficult - that is not an easy goal to score. I can think of many players who would miss that one

Not saying we should sign Ighalo permanently, but we need a striker like him. All of our others, including Greenwood, are all really similar. Good to have different options.

Glad we've got him until Jan at least.
