Rio? That back three worry me. If we want a defender who can defend and play out from the back, he was the best.

A peak Glen Hoddle for Dele Ali. Silky touch, great dribble, fantastic passer with great vision.

Or

John Barnes for Sterling. Power, pace, amazing dribble and scored goals. Everything Sterling isn't.

Notable mention to Gazza but Hoddle's workrate tops him.

Charlton for Alli all day long. We'd go from having a player whose done nothing to someone who would do everything.

Scholes. England don't have anyone like that now. Not even similar.

Or Rooney from 2004. :D

Shocked at the lack of Rooney mentions. Him for Sterling would be great.
Come in to type just this. The younger
explosive Rooney with rapid pace and would be so dangerous alongside Kane leading the line.

Sterling has something like 2 goals in almost 50 games for England, so imagine replacing that pathetic tally with Rooney's goal threat.

Can’t believe it took till page 3 for Hoddle, what England lack is a creative midfielder with vision as the whole midfield ATM lacks it massively, honestly not being biased when I make that call.
