Our next five Premier League games

City are really there for the taking without Gvardiol & Dias - they looked awful last night at the back

City - Win
Arsenal - Defeat
Fulham - Draw
Tottenham - Win
West Ham - Win

City aren't the vaunted side they used to be. We could easily beat them.

I'll go

City - Win
Arsenal - Loss
Fulham - Win
Tottenham - Draw
West Ham - Win

City and Arsenal might be a bit of a stretch, but we should definitely be looking at a good run for Fulham, Tottenham & West Ham. Fulham are pretty competent but nothing special, 'Lads it's Spurs' are well and truly back in town and West Ham are seriously floundering.

So with all that in mind, narrow wins against City & Arsenal and losses against all the other fodder

Unless City sign some defenders, we should be looking to get something out of that game especially if we have Mbeumo and Amad back. I don’t expect us to get anything against Arsenal, we will lose by some crappy set piece goal. But should be winning the last 3 games. We have a terrible record against Spurs recently despite them being shite and that needs changing.

Manchester City (h) - Bad loss, like 0-4
Arsenal (a) - loss, 1-0
Fulham (h) - win, 2-1
Tottenham (h) draw, 1-1
West Ham (a) win, 0-2

Manchester City (h) - Draw
Arsenal (a) - Draw
Fulham (h) - Win
Tottenham (h) - Draw
West Ham (a) - Draw

Surely 15 points now we've gone God Mode by moving to the mythical "4 at the back".

Gary Neville to reach another level of delight as we do.

Manchester City (h) - Draw
Arsenal (a) - Loss
Fulham (h) -Draw
Tottenham (h) - Draw
West Ham (a) - Draw

Might get a narrow win in one of the draw games but we just can't buy a win sat the moment

I think 7 or 8 is probably what I would have expected from those. I actually think Fulham will be a tougher game than City.

Manchester City (h) - Win
Arsenal (a) - Loss
Fulham (h) -Draw
Tottenham (h) - Win
West Ham (a) - Draw

Amorim saw the next run of games after the relegation fodder we've lost/drawn to and thought nah I'm out can't have my win percentage tanking below 30% again.

Will go with:
Draw
Loss
Win
Win
Win

Pure hope more than anything but surely we 're due a new, old manager bounce at some point?

Not sure why people have a dig about moving to back 4 and us winning everything. You’d think we did so well with a back 3.

A back 4 simply puts players in their best position which therefore gives us our best chance of winning.

If Amorim had the sense to do that he’d still be here now.

You aren't going to make many friends on here pointing that out. You're right though, 4 at the back is far from the silver bullet to to solve all of our problems, Neville will have to pick individual players to constantly complain about now, like he did with Sesko last night until the 2 goals made him quieten down.

This is exactly what I said to my mate, it's hilarious. He couldn't say anything about fletcher because it's his mate and he couldn't slate the formation because it's all he's talked about... So now let's pick on young players individual mistakes to nth degree to make the casual fans think that's the issue.

The bloke is an absolute idiot.

Manchester City (h) - loss. Our pathetic defense is just what Haaland needs right now to reignite his form.
Arsenal (a) - comprehensive loss. This one could be ugly.
Fulham (h) - win, only because the law of averages suggests that even we can win now and again.
Tottenham (h) - draw. We'll take the lead and once again piss it away.
West Ham (a) - draw. We'll take the lead and once again piss it away.

Well this squad aren’t winning back to back matches, and I’d be amazed if they could even win two games out of three.

So I’ll go for…

Manchester City (h) L
Arsenal (a) L (I was tempted to say D)
Fulham (h) D
Tottenham (h) D
West Ham (a) W

Likely the new caretaker manager will be in for city, and we're back to one game a week for all of these apart from West Ham which is mid week after Spurs.

Mbeumo I think will be back for City game, Amad for the Arsenal game.

City have a midweek EFL cup away semi final vs Newcastle before our match, Arsenal have a midweek away match vs Inter before ours (but they'll probably prioritize the league match as they're fine in the CL).

  • City (home) - win
  • Arsenal (away) - loss
  • Fulham (home) - win
  • Spurs (home) - win
  • West Ham (away) - win
Gotta be positive... But I think it's doable. The 5 after that though probably something like 6-8 points from that set of 5 (everton away, palace home, Newcastle away, Villa home, Bournemouth away).

Actually looking at all the remaining games, my guess is we end between 62-66 points. Shame we really bottled December's nice fixture list.

Actually just did a game by game predictor til the end of the season. Had Arsenal top on 86, City 2nd on 83, Liverpool 3rd in the low 70's and then Villa, Chelsea and United all very close in the mid 60s before a small gap to some others below. I can see it being a really tight finish, decided on the last day for who finishes 4th and 5th again. Definitely think Villa will drop off a good amount, but they have a healthy lead.
