I remember Gordon McQueen being our top scorer at one time and I think they were all headers. He was lethal at corners and free kicks but not seen any centre backs since his time at OT to match him. Anyway, we have been rubbish at corners and throw ins for quite a long time now so this one is not on Ole.

I don’t get how one of our players can get to the corner first quite often but never look like scoring with the header. Pogba and Maguire do this consistently. We should genuinely agree pre-match to forgo all corners as a goal kick - we’re more likely to concede than score from them.

I wonder if they ever practice taking corners? Greenwood took them fairly decently I remember. So what changed?

Is there a stat for how many corners we have taken since we last scored from one? It must be a record.

We have Varane, Maguire, Ronaldo, Cavani, Pogba.. And we barely even get our head to any

Every time they take a corner, it always hits the first man. It’s annoying. Amazing with the players we have, we still can’t do anything right,. There really needs to be 1v1 teaching or something.

Bruno swinging in balls for Varane, Maguire and Ronaldo to score lively headers was the expectation.

Getting countered by the opposition is the reality.

I can't remember the team but I watched a game this season and the team only put one or two players in the box for attacking corners with another three or four lurking around outside the box. United might as well do this now.
