He'll come good for us as an LB, should be understudy to Shaw this season - he has a lot of good qualities, his crossing is really good already in my opinion, but he's not someone you want going into one on ones unless he can kick and rush past a player. He's got the athleticism, technique and crossing ability to be a great LB in my opinion.
 
I have some faith in him but I find it remarkable that the club decided a player from Lecce is ready to play the whole wing by himself at United.
 
I understand the anger after yesterdays loss. But.... he was one of the better players in a shitfest of a first half? Yes. I saw the funny hoofed shot/cross, but seriously. He was probably a 6. NOthing spectacular. Not bad.
 
Like so many players, I think he'll do way better in a 433/4231 type formation as a left back compared to left wing back. He can't run with the ball/dribble, he's not a creative passer... He's just not a wing back.

Very odd how it's gone from cheap-ish punt in desperation to get a left footed player with some potential to nailed-on starter in arguably one of the most important positions to make the system work. Especially when Kerkez and Ait Nouri as Prem proven players went for similar money in summer.

Because there is more to it than a few seconds long clip. He works pretty good as a winger with his strentgh and tempo. He is a relentless presser and crosses and shoots allthough there is room to improve in that department. He made more happen at right wing than Skov Olsen whom he replaced in half the time. I would have given him a 6.5
 
Hitting the post before someone scores is not an assist.

Anyway, he is a decent player to put on for Denmark as a winger, when leading the game and mostly counter-attacking. I wouldn't want him anywhere near the forward line for United though. LWB should really be his only role for us.

Been saying it since his first couple of games. It would be incredibly useful to this team and how this man wants us to play if Dorgu happened to actually be a good footballer. The opportunity cost of him being a poor footballer is humongous. He’s a player that gets into more than 50% of the promising situations we get as a team and he will not make a positive contribution in a month if Sundays. The quality just isn’t there. But sadly, the opportunities are, again and again. Shooting, crossing, beating a man. Mr Amorim has set his team up for the final moment to come down to a Dorgu contribution which will never arrive.

Can't read defensive situations.

How on earth we ended up with this dross? In whole my life as United fan i never saw technically worst player in United shirt. Including goalkeepers.

He has good strengths, and bad weaknesses. You know what you are getting with him, hes at least consistent with it.
 
There were concerns with him on the ball, he’s strong and quite athletic up and down. However on the ball he is really bad.

Looks like we picked up a cheap discounted wingback.

Defensively he did well, first half he kept Silva very quiet, he didn't get anything out of him. Offensively, yikes.

We looked better when he wasnt in the team. But yes, a lot goes through him as normally the final point of creation, and he either hits the first man, over hits the cross or takes some weird shot that is almost always off target.
 
This just has to stop. How can someone with such an obvious lack of quality be depended on so much for playing in the final ball for us.

Other than his strength I can’t see what he brings to the side. It’s looking like a shocking signing.

This really is the problem.

The system is set up for the 10s to drag the opposition narrow and roll the ball for wing backs to run onto in dangerous positions and he wastes it every single time.
 
A very poor footballer. He's athletic but extremely poor on the ball. A good player there would get tons of assists. I don't understand why we went for him at all.

Now I feel bad for being too harsh on young player. But, for the love of Cantona, he's not a freaking wingback. Dare I say, he'll never be.

He could be an awesome fullback, but that would be his ceiling.
 
I really don't know what people see in him. His crossing is shit, technically awful and and has a negative football IQ. He's not a PL quality player.
 
Teams allow him the ball because they know he is shit. That's why he is frequently in space but never does anything with it.

Possibly right. In certain situations he can be good, but he needs a lot of space. If the defender is on him close when he gets the ball, hes got nothing, a bit like Rashford tbh.
