Tell the club chef to keep feeding whatever he had for Christmas dinner. That was a good performance.

That first half was like Amad last season. Just relentless, aggressive, always dangerous.

So he was actually a winger. Didn't put a foot wrong. Brilliant performance.

If ruben switches to 4231 going forward, would dorgu be a good RB? I’ve never seen him play before joining us but read several times here that he used to play as a full back and he is more comfortable playing that position. With the way he played today, the intensity up and down the pitch is promising. Maybe he can do that playing behind Mbeumo

Really happy for him, that his first goal ended up being an important match winner. His overall performance was pretty good as well.

That was the Dorgu Game, wasn’t it.

Hopefully a turning point we’ll all remember.

Agree with others, really happy for him. His game has got some obvious flaws but his workrate and physicality is always excellent. Superb goal as well.

Really good performance, I think he is better than he’s shown since he joined. I’m not sold on him being good enough as a starter but he could end up a good squad player.

Didnt think he that performance in him so fair play. Looked like a different player on the right.

So naturally Amorim moved him back to the left in the second half.

Much much better today, he looks way more comfortable on the right.

World class goal and really pleased for him. Like all players, he just needs some confidence to take his game up a notch. You could see that after his goal.

He had a really really good game. There wasn't much that went wrong for him. Well done!

He's an all action player and gets on the ball a lot (offensive and defensively), which was the issue before as it was him in the most important times and areas of the pitch. With some coaching and a formation that doesn't rely on him to solely affect the games, he can be of an asset. I still think it most likely as a fullback but who knows maybe further forward.

Amazing what a bit of confidence can do. Still prone to the lapse in concentration, so his technique falters, but is clearly a very effective player in the right system.

All those bloody years of playing 4231 and having great options on the left, and no one for the right....

And now if we go back to this shape we are gonna potentially have 3 decent options from the right (Mbuemo, Diallo, Dorgu) whereas our only option from the left (Cunha) clearly wants to be more central.

You've gotta laugh

Absolutely carried us at times as an outlet. Went missing a little at the start of the 2nd half but grew into it and really gave Newcastle something to be wary of. He needs to continue growing in confidence and realise he has all the components to be a threat to the opposition. Really timely and promising performance.

Best game for United and comfortably the best player on the pitch. At least from the right. He provided more attacking threat in one half (the first obviously, we didn't do any attacking second half) than the rest of his United career. It stopped when he moved over.

Not just his goal n shot either. At least twice he was in great space for a switch and cross from Cunha that didn't happen. I know he played further forward but maybe RWB can be a spot for him.

I think that was his best game for us. Looks a different player on the right wing.

Even on the left in the 2nd half he looked better than he has done. Hopefully the goal gives him confidence.
