He scored the goal from a set-piece/throw-in which fell to him; I still think he was lacking a bit as an attacking outlet and creative force in open play.
We've seen with him at LWB that he's plenty capable of winning tackles and holding on to the ball (generally by passing backwards), and that was what most of his performance yesterday also involved, with United desperately holding on to the lead. Prior to the goal he hadn't done anything in an offensive sense.
Similar to Ugarte he benefited from mostly playing backs to the wall, as opposed to the onus being on the front foot and making something happen with the ball. When he had the ball he didn't seem threatening in the way an Amad, Mbeumo or Cunha does, he just did well in keeping it. The term "defensive winger" springs to mind.
I'm pleased he got the goal, which was a moment of quality, but I think it's warping some peoples' judgement a bit as to what the rest of his performance actually involved.
