Looks like he’s adjusted to the pace of the league too, which means he is playing whatever game he has with abandon. He also seems to relish the battle; had a content look to himself battling with Walker (outside of being stamped on). Credit where it’s due that he has resilience to himself - for any stick he gets about technique or bad decisions, he’s back at it immediately and does not wilt.Looks far more comfortable in an advanced role, hardly surprising though, given he’s spent his career there.
He has been among our best players the last 3 games. So that is an improvementI doubt it. He does not have the attacking skills or instincts. But yesterday, he worked hard and at least tried to get things forward, unlike many others

Don't think it was weird at all, was a throw back to a more classic style of United attacks where the winger holds width and the fullback supports with a blend of overlaps or underlaps. It also worked really well, just took Dorgu like 30 minutes to figure out how to play as a left winger. Love watching that type of football. Modern versions have seen Pep use Leroy Sane especially play like a classic left winger to great success.Think he should play LB. Shaw and Dorgu on the left was a bit weird yesterday with both wanting to do the same thing. I think him and Cunha down the left could be good when everyone's back.

Agreed. I don't have an inkling of his potential because his technical inconsistencies/deficiencies might not ever catch up to his physicals. But should be good enough to be a squad player or starter at LB.I think he will be a good left back. He is decent/good defensively for a fullback. He is surprisingly very good when controlling the ball and progressing it up the left wing. Its just his end product which is a bit dodgt. But at fullback that is slightly less of an issue. I definitely have doubts about him as a wingback or winger, but at fullback I think he's an interesting prospect.

Said it before, the better side of his game is often ignored in favor of the obvious flaws. It will be interesting to see how he develops in the next few years.
If we are playing 4-2-3-1 I think he could fit at left back.
I’d like to see him at LB, think his overlapping runs would be great for whoever is in that side.
Yeah, would like to see him in this role especially against "inferior" teams. Would do well with Cunha on that side as he has a tendency to drift inward naturally and Dorgu can provide the width.Agree that he did pretty well. Probably worth a run in the team at left back making overlapping runs and getting crosses into the box as he is one of the better crossers in the team to be fair to him.
Haven’t watched any of our games over the holidays due to travelling commitments but was hoping to come in and read that he’s been better as a “full back” in a back 4, as opposed to a wingback where much more creativity is expected. Never thought his work rate or defending was a huge issue, but certainly seemed to lack a lot of quality going forward (in an Amorim team anyway). So a bit disappointed to hear the opposite, actually. His physicality is top notch. His duel stats are ridiculously good. He's good in the air for a fullback
There aren't really any defensive issues with him beyond just getting experience.
I think he'll look more comfortable as a winger or a fullback because either position you've got support in front or behind you.
It's the wingback role that's the real tester. Just an extremely difficult role to play well.
Well so far his defensive problem is basically the same as Dalot's - loss of concentration. You'd like to think that a grafter like Dorgu will improve on that as he matures but then Dalot is a grafter and it still happens to him.
