Couple things vs Burnley:
5 chances created (same as Bruno), 1 big chance created, 1 assist, 3/7 crosses, 4/4 tackles, fouled 3 times, 8/13 duels won, 4/5 aerial duels won and nearly scored a goal. The guy is 21 years old that came from Lecce and now playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world with some of the greatest pressure in top sport, but some posters have already decided his level is back to Lecce, or that he does not have any potential at all. It's seriously insane to me.
No potential whatsoever, yet;
30th for big chances created in the league with 5, ahead of the likes of Garnacho, Semenyo, Amad, Bernardo Silva, Reijnders, Odegaard, Eze and Mbeumo.
32nd for chances created with 23, ahead of the likes of Kudus, Gibbs-White, Kluivert, Trossard, Mateus Fernandes, Schade and Ndiaye.
19th tied for assists (19-32 got 3)
5th most fouled player in the league
10th for most duels won in the league
95th percentile for aerial duels won with 37 in the league
15/53 crosses putting him at a 28% accuracy, better than the likes of Kerkez, Daniel Muñoz, Timber and Porro. Cucurella has better but he barely crosses (5/13).
Add the fact that he has an absolutely insane work rate, great attitude and a really humble lad that everyone seems to like around the dressing room. I get that he has poor performances and he isn't a particularly good passer, and can have weird moments here and there, but he is 21 and still developing and adapting to the league, and he can certainly bring out comments with some of his mistakes or ball losses, but to suggest he has zero potential? Nope.
