As we've seen the threat from left back/ left wingback and as a winger are not the same. He's scoring goals and creating goals. He starts on the wing where he gets the most chances to continue to do what hes doing
It's definitely different but depending how we set up, I can see him being a threat as a LB. I wouldn't rule him out as an option there purely based on Amorim ball. I think he has the potential to be useful in a number of positions under different contexts.

If im honest, I was berating him first half. He was quite negative, didn't force the issue and played it very simple.

Second half, he was completely different. Running off the ball, getting at players, shooting, crossing, etc. And the goal he scored was out of this world. What a strike!

Patrick Balon D'or Gu.

If you told me that in 3 years he'll be our best player, I'd believe you.

If you told me that in 3 years he'll be playing for a mid-table Italian team, I'd believe you.

I'm really glad he's turning it around. Hope it continues

I think he can play leftback, but the main features of what hes done in his winger games wont happen from leftback. He's been free to get forward on counter attacks even ending up our furthest player forward at times. And in those situations hes found a few goals and an assist

If hes getting the ball down the wing when the opposition are back hes probably going to continue to struggle to get a good ball in. When players are out of position and stretched he's been able to have end product

Hindsight is 20/20 but the amount of posters calling him a donkey, a clown, technically useless, thick...should be a moment of reflection.
Dorgu, Heaven and Amad are examples of exceptional scouting and talent development.

This, I'm liking our recruitment model now

Very underwhelming at wingback but for some reason at left wing he reminds me of a left footed Valencia. Just a tank on the wing and starting to show his technical ability. Has turned into a very interesting prospect.

So what is he now, defender or winger? Like a new player

High energy, he's a Klopp style signing if we had him as a manager thinking about it. One that we would have never signed pre INEOS and Vivell.

He has four lungs and doesn't tire at all.

The beauty in Dorgu is he gets back and works hard too, great age too.

What a hit. Filthy goal. Put in a shift as well, was difficult for us to get out at times, but you can never fault him for effort.

Some are saying Bale which I think is a little OTT, but I'd be delighted if he became a Ji-sung Park type player for us. He has the lungs for it.

Hes just not a left back is he, hes a winger with a goal threat and workrate.
I think Carrick playing him as a wide midfielder, with Shaw behind him has given him so much confidence. He doesn't have to worry so much about getting back into position when we lose the ball, although he did appear to drop into the full back position at times when Arsenal were pushing.
Long term, I think he will grow into a decent wingback, defensively he needs more experience, but his prospects look good.

Hes doing so well, would hate for this to be a long term injury. Credit to those who kept a stronger faith in him

He was one of United's sloppier players until the goal, but that's a goal of the season contender. Grew in confidence after that. Hopefully subbed only as a precaution.
Looked like a tight hamstring or just cramp. Interestingly, he sat on the bench when subbed off, he didn't go to the treatment room, so hopefully he'll be ok for next week. Cunha could do a good job there if he's not fit, Fulham won't have as much of the ball as Arsenal did, so we need to be clever in creating chances.

That interplay before the goal should also get it into top10 goals of the whole Prem this year for sure. Couldnt believe he hit it so well.

I like how unorthodox he is. Still think he will end up as a fullback though. As he's best as a runner and darting into the box. Had a couple in Evra and LAV before.

You can sense the anxiety when he gets the ball, even I get anxious.

Turns out the only ones getting anxious are the opposition GKs because he just cnuts it in from anywhere.

He was our outlet today ..
He was handling Timber easily and working triangles with Bruno Mbeumo..
Lammens was hitting long balls to him..

Missed his injury (bloody kids bath time) - how bad did it look? Hamstring pull can be like 1-2 months right?

Crazy goal, what a brilliant bit of magic including the play up to it

Honestly I think we still don't know what his level is really, but he's been fantastic recently

Also loved his sly look to the camera after his goal, he knows it was outrageous but kept it pretty cool

I’m here to apologise. My takes on this guy appear to have been way off.

That goal man.

Love him. Apparently not a PL player and should just be shipped back to Lecce.
