What I celebrate the most about Dorgu’s resurgence is how he went from being called a League One level player to being a mainstay on the team sheet in a matter of months.
We bought him for around 25M euros and with his current development trajectory, he’s now comfortably a 60M rated player IMO. That’s what Manchester United as a club is. We make superstars and this does not apply only to academy products.

Forgive me Dorgu. Amorim ball had me conviced you were a donkey, a complete waste of 30m.
I see him as a winger, but able to play back too. A bit ironic that Amorim ended up buying a fantastic winger for United when he himself loved a system without wingers.
Yup, it'll only aid in their development long term.
Happy for Dorgu. He's deserved this as he's always ran himself to the ground.
I've been saying since we signed him that there's a decent player here, he's been unlucky with players not finishing off some of the great crosses he's put in, great to see he's starting to get the results in terms of G/A that his play and workrate have deserved.
He's a winger, sure he can play left back too, but he's too strong for most fullback. He makes those darting runs and they can't cope.
He doesn't have Bale's close control or even his ridiculous acceleration and speed, but he does really remind me of him in some ways. That finish felt very Bale-like!

I don't get Valencia comparisons at all. Valencia was excellent ball carrier and could cross (before the injury). But he was 2D player running in a straight line, a "function" player if you will. Dorgu is much different, difficult to classify him yet but I could almost call him a wide midfielder at times, and a striker on other occasions when he makes a run in behind.
Anyway, I'm delighted for him and proud that I could see a player there a long time ago and supported him loudly.

I don't expect Dorgu to keep scoring worldies or even scoring that much, but he's a great talent. Huge engine, brilliant attitude, pace, decent technique and an eye for goal.
I think even as a LB when he maybe wasn't producing that much, he was often the most "annoying" player for the opposition team to deal with. A lot of our play for the last season is going through him
Been in great form but I’m not sure he starts against Fulham. It will require Cunhas ability.
What a revelation he is turning out to be, a pleasant surprise. A two way player like him, equally effective on and off the ball, is basically cheat code. Enables us to play like a back 5 with Shaw tucking in, to play like a midfield three (like Matuidi, as has been said) and is a genuine threat in the forward line.

I was wrong that he's only a right winger. He's doing very well and deserves to stay in the team on the left as well. Thought that since he played right wing for Lecce he's going to be more comfortable as that inverted winger type, but his end product on the leftwing has shown he has no problem on that side either

Hope it’s not a bad injury. Be typical for this team to suffer a few injuries just as we go on a run.
He walked around with the other players on the pitch after the match, so the injury cannot be that bad. you would normally not walk on the pitch with a torn hamstring. it did not look as if he was limping.
If Dorgu does not start against Fulham it is because he is injured. 2 goals against 2 of the strongest teams in the league and 6-7 really good games in a row - of course he will start, if he is fit. But I would see Cunha starting instead of Diallo.
Dorgu is surprisingly good in the air, winning flick ons from goal kicks. Really good to have another target to aim for. It’s been a weakness in our side for a long time now.

Danish newspaper ekstrabladet.dk cites Carrick calling Dorgus injury "just a cramp". Hopefully that is correct.

I actually think he's very tidy technically, at wingback I had issues with his final ball but he has always looked very comfortable receiving and manipulating the ball in tight spaces.
He is an absolute unit though, very interesting prospect.
This probably solves our LW problem for one more season. With Cunha and Dorgu possibly holding that position for at least 1 season so we can focus on the midfield

Call me crazy, but I prefer this kind of interaction between legend and current player to whatever Scholes stirs up with Martinez.

Brilliant again today, MOTM for me. It's time to start fitting Dorgu for a cape.
I'll happily admit that he's proving me wrong, he has been excellent lately and on top of that, he seems to have such a down to earth, shy personality. United players (namely Casemiro) had to to tell him to enjoy the goal & moment and smile after his goal. Poor first half but excellent strike tonight and you could see the confidence after that in his play. Hope his hamstring is okay and it was just precautionary.
