I would welcome the idea. He just retired, he can easily get back into shape. Same for Van der Sar.

I don't see it happening. Scholes retired because he felt it was the right time, and I don't think he wanted to return to the game. He's not someone who's mind can be easily changed. He's a fairly decisive person, by the looks of things.
This is great - so long as it works out well. If not, SAF will be criticised from all quarters, and not just by the press.

No. I'm saying that if he comes out of retirement, he would see it as a backward step by the club.
It would never tarnish his legacy. But if he came back it would surely colour the status of our club because of the mere fact that we had to send for him.
