I think City knew they didn't have the energy to mount a full comeback. Even if they scored the 3 goals, they'd have to go through extra time with ten men too.
Spitty doesn't have the stones to take on a job as difficult as Manchester United. He wouldn't have his usual benefits. It'd be by far his biggest challenge and wouldn't take the risk.

Yes I agree with this part, but I think he's lost the genuine part to it.
I saw him when he was banned and sat up in the stands for a game the other week, and he looked calm and collected, even though his team was struggling. If he's as invested in his team as he'd like us to think he is then you just can't switch it on and off like that.
He knows when the cameras are on him, so imo acts up for them alot nowadays, rather that it being something genuine.

Not a hope this becomes a 90 point team next season. 80-85 maybe if things go well and Foden and the Yeti find form. It will get better as Rodri refinds his form and Nico Gonzalez replaces Bernardo who is off this season for sure. It'll be more balanced I think, also Gvaridol to come back in who has missed most the season. We're never getting near the standard of the old team. Theres just no KDB or prime Rodri to get us anywhere near.
