I saw this earlier and assumed it was footage from years ago. How embarrassing to parade around a trophy they haven't won in a few years.
Would have had Nasri as more of a worm guy myself.
The stuff they did in arena would've been enough as a send off to Pep, maybe bus parade is over the top given it's 2 domestic cups. Also bringing 20 trophies won in his era is not bad idea (other clubs' fans will see it as odd, they'll enjoy it) but have to say without wanting to sound butthurt - there will probably always be question marks around their success. I don't believe they'll get (severely) punished, but the whole investigating process has been going on for so long and it will leave a shadow over their achievements.
Nah unfortunately his legacy will stay in tact because City's money doesn't just talk it screams so will get best lawyers
Putting on a lavish celebration to parade everything that has been won does feel a bit like they’re having a final big night out before they go to prison.

Why wheel out a fake premier league trophy, just days after arsenal lifted the real one? You'd think they'd have some idea about the optics of that.
Reminds me of when klopp posed with the champions league and premier league trophies, as if they'd been won in the same season. But there was at least a few days when those trophies overlapped. City haven't won it for 2 years now.
They should've just kept it about pep. Imagine if we'd got Clayton Blackmore to bring on the 1991 cup winners cup when Fergie was doing his farewell speech. People would be like, yeah and? What's that got to do with anything right now?

The funny thing is, they think everyone hates them for the same reasons that everyone hates United - because they've been so successful.
They don't seem to realize that the real reason everyone hates them is because of the cheating accusations. Big difference.

City were hated by united fans well before the cheating accusations came out. It probably largely is because they are highly successful these days. Lots of neutrals root for them the way they root for atletico against madrid and barca. The bragging of united, madrid and barca fans rubs people the wrong way that they will root for the likes of that.

Pep is still contracted to CFG, if they are way off the title race and in a battle just to get top 4 they'll probably bring him back in as caretaker to ensure they dont miss out on the Champions League

I doubt he'll take it because Italy don't have a ready-made World Cup winning team and he can't just buy players with unlimited funds.
