Evra was on another level I feel, constantly a threat and giving so much to the attack. For me he was close to Marcelo level.

Starting to think people underestimate the role Evra had in that defence and attack. Shaw may currently be one of the best left backs in the league at present, but among much greater competition, Evra was one of the best in the world, and arguably the best in the world for a time.

We really were blessed back then.
