I'll judge him come the end of the season. If we're sitting in 8th again, then yes i'll be on his back big time.
We are currently less than halfway through the season, and competing for the 4th spot. So for now, he's doing just fine.
We spent quite a lot in the summer yes, but at least I can see what kind of squad he is trying to build and a direction, which is something.
At the end of the day, Chelsea, United, Liverpool, City all have much stronger squads than us. Spurs I would say have a similar squad to us, if not a bit better when/if Kane gets some form, but they also have a better manager.
I want to see us finishing at least 6th this season as you could argue those 5 teams all have some advantage over us for now, which, the club hopes will be caught up on by developing these younger players as a group together, along with 2 or 3 bigger and more experienced signings coming (who knows if this will work or not).
Not sure what you're expecting from us tbh? Yes, we could be doing better, and we should have really beaten United or Everton imo but we aren't far off.
