I think people are looking at it more as 5 years of Spurs threatening to do something. Now they have an established trophy winning manager and its currently like a match made in Heaven. Everton and Villa are anomalies. Spurs steamrolling teams is what many have been predicting and now its happening.

They didn't turn into a bad side overnight and the first eleven is very good but it's still too early to view them as title challengers.

Mourinho teams generally tend to start off stronger than the others and steam roller some teams early on but things even out and he slowly sucks the joi de vivre out of his players as the season goes on.
