Good shout. Bang average player but boy could he leather a football.Tom Huddleston
Scotty Mac
Alex former Chelsea player
Absolute hammer. There’s probably a few defenders who fall into this category, didn’t Ivanovic at Chelsea used to get tee’d up for howitzers on long range freekicks? Maybe was Luiz?John Arne Riise
Nah never. Alex though. He could leather them. As could JFH.Absolute hammer. There’s probably a few defenders who fall into this category, didn’t Ivanovic at Chelsea used to get tee’d up for howitzers on long range freekicks? Maybe was Luiz?
Also, there’s actually only one answer when I think of it. Juninho Pernambucano, every free kick was a penalty.
That’s the one, good old Alex the tank!Nah never. Alex though. He could leather them. As could JFH.
Yeah sorry for not being articulate, I meant players who have great strike but also great delivery.Sorry I didn’t realise it was just players who could spread the ball. I mentioned RVN as someone who could “strike” the ball well.
Incredible striker of a ball. Best free kick taker I’ve ever seen for consistency. It was like a penalty for him.Used to Mijalhovic back in the day. A cracking free kick (one scored a hat trick of them in one game), but also had some brilliant long passing and could really cross a ball too.
He was so good at it, that he was incredibly versatile and played on the left, at left back and at center back as his career went on. One of the very best strikers or a ball to have played the modern game.
Very clean striker of the ball. Pity about him being a complete fanny. An underrated shout would be Stewart Downing.
He scored one goal outside of the box for United.I have never seen RVN spreading the ball with excellent through balls or crosses nor I remember him being a prolific out of box or free kick goals.
