PS5 pro prices gone up again around 120£. Is this a temporary thing or an increase for a reason?

Last 6 months. 4300zl is £850 GBP/ 995 EUR. I checked in Germany and it seems there the prices are stable on the level of 890 EUR, so maybe this is a local Polish thing (in some shops apparently PS5 Pro is not even available).
Just wondering it there's a reason for that. I know Sony mentioned the previous raise, but this caught me by surprise as I was hoping the price to go down a bit and I'm buying. Not sure what to do now.
Germany seems to be keeping the price (at least for now). Maybe they are better stocked there. I'm considering buying via a friend there as it's getting crazy, 300EUR increase in 6 months.
Prices of ram will not be coming back down for a very long time. If you want a PS5 your gonna have to pay the premium. It's crap, but it is what it is. At this stage economies of scale should be kicking in prices of PS5 should be coming down as manufacturing costs come down. But you've seen the world economy and the chaos that's ensuing.

I'm not familiar with the Polish market or where that graph comes from, but it doesn't seem to be an official price increase. Over here in Belgium the advertised price is still the same as after the March increase, but it's sold out at every retailer except the Playstation direct store (where it's also still at the same price). Some retailers also list resellers, which sell at a higher price, so it's possible that's what your seeing on that graph.
I don't know if Poland has an official Playstation direct store, if it does I would check the price there and under no circumstances pay more than that. My guess is you'd be overpaying to scalpers because stock is gone everywhere else. Prices are extremely unlikely to go down in the coming year though, I'm afraid. Xbox leadership claimed they expected another doubling of RAM prices by late 2027. Your best bet is to keep an eye on stock updates or, rather grimly, wait until the PS6 releases at which point they surely can't keep selling the previous gen at a premium.

That graph comes from a service that tracks lowest price for which you could buy PlayStation for the last 6 months.
It seems many stores are our of stock, and people are buying from Germany (and I'm likely to do the same). I don't know why the price increase though. Might be just temporary shortage (mid summer / holiday period).
I was hoping for the price to go down as we're at all time high by quite a margin, and yet it keeps getting more expensive every other month.

Fair enough - I bought the digital PS5 and then PS5 Pro. Digital games are easier and also means I can share them with my son on his PS5 so works out cheaper than buying two disc copies.
