Our smilies have become somewhat of a relic of Internet history on here. They're a carry-over from forum software that long predates XenForo - possibly from Ultimate Bulletin Board? (@Raoul will know).

The modmins figured it was time to refresh things as they were starting to look as outdated and rundown as the Old Trafford roof.

So we've rolled out new smilies today which are based on the primary XenForo smilies. I'm sure some of you won't like it but like every change, you'll get used to it :smirk:

I see the woke brigade have gotten their way. No gaytard smilies for the lads.
 
Why only thumbs down and not thumbs up? That's racism.
 
If there's a way to add/keep some of our older animated smilies, that would be good. They were one of the best little bits of the Caf in my opinion. These static smilies are nice and fresh, but we really should bring back some of the old animated smilies to go with them.

No smilies have been removed but some have been combined:
  • wenger and houllier are now: :wenger:
  • devil and keano are now: :devil:
  • boring and yawn are now: :boring:

Only thumbs down; no up? It’s a shame animation has gone and the famed green smiley.

Is there no way to have both this and the old sets?
 
Has anyone got a gif of the green smiley?
