I think if he can get them back into top 4, that's a massive win. There's also not a whole lot of top club offers available, even clubs like Dortmund have got their business done. He must not feel confident if he wants out of PSG, probably wants to leave with his head held high than another sacking.

There is a lot of smoke on Poch return to Spurs. Seems like legit.

Weird though. He's now expected to deliver similar level to the peak of his first Spurs tenure. All eyes on him, so he's no benefit of going under the radar for a slow rebuild, as his tactic is now well studied by opposition.

Before his left, he talked about big club and anything, but walking out as a loser with PSG, he shuts down his options for bigger clubs. Unless he performs better by winning trophies, which is not easy task with Spurs, he's now stuck at Spurs or heading downhill.

It all seems like he wants to go but they don't want him to leave.

Still seen as running away. It's not like he's joining another club with similar ambition (CL) like PSG. Returning to Spurs who sacked him not long ago, is the definition of running back with your tail between your legs.

Rather risking going into the season with PSG. They're still favorite into new season for all domestic competitions. Get that credit in, while gambling on a good CL campaign would leave you in better position this time next year, even if you still choose to go back to Spurs.

Telegraph saying that PSG have trigger a 12 month extension on Poch contract and he's said nothing about wanting to leave. Its exploratory from spurs.

Moving to PSG wasn't a good move for him and going back to Spurs won't be either. Doesn't seem to be making the best career choices post Spurs.

It'd be bizarre. You do well and finally get a move up to a bigger club only to leave at the first sign of trouble and go back to a club with no expectations of winning things.

Frank Leboeuf ,

“It’s a big knife…..I would say a betrayal from Pochettino willing to leave just months after signing from Paris Saint-Germain. The guy wants to leave. The big question is why he wants to leave. We all know there’s a problem with the hierarchy in Paris Saint-Germain.”#

I think we can be all pretty sure this could happen.

Hakimi, Wijnaldum and Donnarumma.

They're going all in this transfer window, can see them getting Ligue 1 title back with all these reinforcements.

Will be an incredible achievement if they manage it.

Ramos rumoured as well, 3 of them on free transfers as well. They've had a good window so far

He is probably surprised that he is allowed to buy players during the transfer window.

if he gets pogba, in addition to Ramos, hakimi, wijnaldum, he has to get to the CL finals at the minimum, right?

Yes because getting the champion league is considered a "minimum task" and it is the easiest thing to accomplish .

Anyway, Pochettino is once again building an amazing side like he did at Spurs. His Psg team will have better depth and a stronger first 11. His man management ability will be tested like no other managers has seen with the likes of Sergio Ramos, Neymar, Pogba, Mbappe, and so on in his dressing room.

Regardless, this team he is building will be iconic like the Milian that had Ronaldinho, the galactico Madrid side, United with Ronaldo, and Barcelona with msn and xabi and Iniesta.

-----------------Navas/Donamura------------------
Hakimi - Ramos/Kimpembe - Marquinois - Benat
------Verratti/Wijinaldum -- Paredes/Gueye----------
---Di Maria --------- Pogba ---------- Neymar
--------------------------Mbappe ----------------

Not surprised. Hard to sign players when your manager is out of contact at the end of the season. Still a good chance he’ll get sacked this season anyway if they don’t win the league again

Rewarding mediocrity...

Love it when Pochettino silence his critic over and over and over again. Psg extended his contract because they know he is one of the best managers in football as he showed by beating Europe best team, winning a domestic double,, and forcing pep to play counter attack. Now, Pochettino will have to create one of the best, iconic team at psg since he is now at a top club with a lot of resources. He is already starting with his acquisition. Donnamura, Ramos, Marquinois will be a great foundation to work with a the back. Now he just needs to control the egos at the club

Well deserved honestly. Few trainers would manage to finish 2nd in the league with PSG.

I reserved judgement on him last season because I almost never judge a manager on their first season, especially if they're coming halfway through. This season is 100% on him to show his managerial skills. He's got every resource available, he has one of the best teams in Europe, if he fails he has no excuse and should get the sack. He's got two tricky situations to manage, the Navas/Donnarumma situation and Kylian Mbappe's contract.

Deffo should win the league and as a minimum make the last 4 of CL. Mbappe contract is nothing to do with him. The president of PSG has taken over on that issie specifically from from leonardo the DoF.

Need to go back to 12/13 when PSG wasn't in the final and didn't win Trophée des Champions. They'd won it 8 seasons on the bounce before losing today.

The side that played today looked pretty crap. I’m sure they’ll win the league rather easily when their first team is back, but it’s always funny when Pochettino bottles yet another trophy because his mum goes all silent on here.

Tagging his mum so that he's aware that he's (she's?) in our thoughts

It wasn't their strongest side but still should have had more than enough

Poch has turned them into serial losers and this is coming from someone who hoped he'd clean up over in France
