Posie Parker is heading here to NZ and its been interesting watching the Aussie public tell her exactly what they think of her. She arrives here later in the week and I think the Aussies will have inspired many Kiwis to turn out at her speaking event and do the exact same thing. Im hoping it doesnt turn violent but also hoping to see a similar result. Drowned out and humiliated.

I was thinking it was Parker Posey when I 1st saw this. Was wondering what she did that so upset the Aussies… then I googled this knock off.

She is a very disturbed person and it seems she is using concerns around self-ID legislation as a mask to a multitude of views that seem very hateful.

She did have a lot of supporters with her in Australia. Admittedly most were Nazis, but still.
You know that incident J.K. Rowling talks about all the time, where counter protesters showed up, some wearing balaclavas? The narrative was trans rights activists attacking lesbians. It was a Posie Parker event, with EDL people and others on the far right attending. She has quite a bit of support in the UK as well.

Not quite accurate, there have been many events without Posie Parker where balaclava-wearing people have disrupted events where feminists wish to discuss their sex-based rights. Unfortunately, the conduct on both sides is so fraught with extremism and serves as ammunition for the other side to lambast and denigrate the other side.

And make money and fly around the world.
Yeah perhaps, I think the GRC position is entirely reasonable and not a hateful position. But like absolutely everything, it can be used as a vehicle to push more extreme views by wrapping up a multitude of grievances.

The one she keeps bringing up, like here:

was a Posie Parker one where Tommy Robinson's friends also attended.

Outnumbered by protesters in all locations I saw though. But this sort of thing is worrying.

Soon to be outlawed in some states and hopefully Federally.

A decent and very vocal crowd here in Auckland meant she never got to speak and the Police had to escort her from the park for her own safety. At some point one protestor squirted her with tomato sauce and in the video footage of her leaving she is visibly frightened.
I had hoped the protest would simply be vibrant and vocal with the crowd drowning her out. For the most part thats what happened but with some emotions were pretty high and things got a little ugly.
Sadly a local grifter who claims to be an apostle and runs his own church called destiny church showed up wiith all his biker friends to protest against trans and gay rights which shows how divided and volatile things might get.
There is a horribly ugly undercurrent growing here which points to lots of angry people getting more vocal in all arenas. I dont know exactly why this is, so many different factors.

I saw that. Well done NZ. Although there seem to be a few far right nutters everywhere these days.

Posie Parker seems far too media savvy to plausibly deny her continued links to the far right, white supremacists, anti-semitists, misogynists. When she says things like “nothing at the time stood out as anything unusual or problematic... I make it my business to avoid researching or policing the entire spectrum of someone’s views" after collaborating with a famous racist, she reminds me of Donald Trump and his relationship to his racist base and those "alt-right" streamers who claim the sieg heil salute to be just memes. They may not be attending rallies but it's hard not to see them all as part of the same smirking, gaslighting duplicity.

That they do so little to dissuade such rotten fan bases is very telling.

This is Posie Parker's recording, with her own voice, of her own rally from a few days ago. You can see that at the 2:00 minute mark she says "why do we want a racist flag?" before panning to a redesigned pride flag featuring black and brown stripes. I mean that is blatant right? that's not a women's rights thing or even a I hate trans thing, that appears to be a clear objection to an inclusive symbol towards people of colour. It looks like it can only be the "Black Lives Matter is racist", white erasure angle. What else could it be? How else could it be "racist"?

A few criticisms of the different designs do exist on the wiki and in a few articles too but I can't see anywhere that the flags have been criticised for being racist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_flag_(LGBT)

Feel free to correct me if I've got this wrong but it was just weird having a flag described as racist, expecting to see some nazi flag flying before the reveal of a pro people of colour one.

What the feck is a Posie Parker? Sounds like a goon from the Yakuza series.

Apparently she has cancelled all remaining NZ events and fled the country. Shame.

A lot of the not anti-trans dodginess collected together, and it is a lot:

J,K Rowling is all out of excuses.

She doesn't need excuses, people will make them for her, and if that at any point fails we'll be treated to more of the ultimate online centrist why did the left make her this way?

Yes I can hear you Clem Fandango!
Seems the issue now is that any counter protest, regardless how much it is in good faith, can be used to push the narrative of women being silenced.

This is only going to get more partisan it seems, I don't see a way to detoxify and reduce this level of aggression
I honestly despair.

So you can't protest against anything any woman says, no matter how vile, as that is silencing women?

I think I see a flaw in that cunning plan.
Of course you can protest, but by literal definition, they stopped her from speaking.
