Hasn't been cancelled as things stand.

Waiting for official confirmation that these games won't go ahead otherwise the possibility remains.
Think it’s inevitable though that PSG are awarded the CL and it’s a Roma vs Villarreal EL final. Either that or they will just null & void it?

I genuinely won’t be surprised if ourselves and the other 11 clubs that have signed up for this have played their final game now this season.

My memories of playing Arsenal in finals.
1979 FA Cup Final. The FA Cup was still a bit deal back then. The whole day was taken up with it. BBC started their coverage at noon for a 3pm kickoff.
I felt confident beforehand. Thought we had the better team, we had beaten Liverpool (in a replay) in the semis.
The final was dull & disappointing. We went 2 down and seemed to be set to lose 2-nil till McQueen of all people swept in our first with only a few minutes left. Next thing Sammy McIlroy does a George Best impression and equalises!
I was looking forward to us beating them in extra time when Brady crosses for he who shall remain nameless to score their spawny winner.
In 05 we battered them for 120 minutes but could not score. 4 - 0 would not have flattered us such was our superiority.
Somehow we lost on pens thanks to a very rare miss by our Ginger Prince.
To counter the above losses we won great FA Cup semis at Villa Park in 83 & most memorably 99., 2 - 1 to us each time. We also won the CL semis against them 1 - 0 and 1 - 3 in 09.
Time to do them in a final methinks.

I can't see anything else personally. This will be the first punishment they will think of and it's the easiest for them to do, kick out City, Chelsea, Real, United and Arsenal from the current competitions.

Oh boy, would have liked to have one last good European trophy before the super league shitshow starts next season.

Such a shame that probably our best season post Sir Alex, one that was looking like it'll end on a high as well will likely be largely irrelevant if we even get the chance to finish it. Tbh this is all heartbreaking.

If we aren't booted out of the competition (legal arguments will stop UEFA doing this I'm sure) then expect the referees to just basically fix the game so Roma and villareal go through. 2 or 3 sendings off and some VAR decisions will make sure United and Arsenal don't progress and no other fans will complain if that happens to us.

This Ceferin guy is looking to be a real hardball and will make sure any of the 12 clubs don't win in Europe by whatever means he can.

I think that would just make fans warm to the idea of a super league if we're cheated out of it.

Imagine if you put the question to Chelsea after that Barca game, they'd have probably been interested in a UEFA free competition.

Disqualify us.

"UEFA Disciplinary Regulations

Member associations and clubs, as well as their players, officials and members, and all persons assigned by UEFA to exercise a function, must respect the Laws of the Game, as well as UEFA’s Statutes, regulations, directives and decisions, and comply with the principles of ethical conduct, loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship.

2 For example, a breach of these principles is committed by anyone:

a. who engages in or attempts to engage in fraud, active or passive bribery and/or corruption;
b. whose conduct is insulting or otherwise violates the basic rules of decent conduct;
c. who uses sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature;
d. whose conduct brings the sport of football, and UEFA in particular, into disrepute;"

Surely there a case for passive bribery, insulting conduct or violating decent conduct, manifestations of a non-sporting nature, bringing UEFA into disrepute :lol:

Why didn't these numbskulls wait until the end of the season to announce this plan? Going to ruin the last chance we had at any silverware before everything goes to shit.

UEFA will be liable to pay back the broadcasting revenue for all the channels that have a deal with them.

It'd cost them an absolute fortune so I don't think it will happen.

Fans are returning to the ground soon. This way they can avoid large scale public protests. You know, like cowards do.

I'm still conflicted.

I think we would have a better chance of beating Arsenal. Possibly by a lot too.

But i'm not keen on same Country finals.

Arsenal, despite being crap, still seem to manage squeezing through games like this. Hope Villareal can get a couple away goals and put it to bed, still really don't want to face Arsenal.

Emery, the Europa specialist, will definitely still be a tough one though.
