We played some of our best and worst football of the season during that game. Absolutely insane end. When the 5th went in we were cruising and then...at some stage in that second half we decided defending was overrated and from then on in it was chaos. Sad that we couldn't win Sir Alex's last game.

Evans and Jones still have very very much to learn. Vidic coming back really showed just how much better he is.
Also Büttner was shocking defensively today

Anyway. Champions! Thank you Sir Alex!

pretty clear what moyes' biggest job is. our complacency when leading has been terrible for a while now. i know it was a nothing game and nobody really cares but we've let a 2 goal + lead slip far too many times in the last 2 seasons.

Once Scholes came on, United stopped treating the match seriously. Scholes looked like he was playing in a testimonial. Shame for the players who had tried hard for the first 65 mins. The marking in the last 25 mins was unreal; nobody seemed bothered. They could have scored another three

Even though it would be nice to send Sir Alex off with a win, it's somewhat fitting that he gets to make history one last time (first 5-5 draw ever in the PL).

Don't be too downbeat. We are champions! At least we didn't lose. we would have won this if DDG had been playing

Aside from the game, massive respect to SAF and what he brought to the league over these 2 and a half decades. Will be missed, even if it gives the rets of us a chance to do some dominating now!

In some ways this thriller summed up our season! Was a bit bothered by the result at first but now im fine with it.

Meaningless at the end of the day and the feelings of sadness and insecurity have now taken over. Its finally set in that Fergie will not be roaming the touchlines anymore. Moyes has some big shoes to fill and we've got to support him.

The game today seems to sum up what fergie has said, "football bloody hell". I am glad we haven't lost. All the best Boss! Enjoy retiring and good health! *still emotional he will not be our boss any more*

We would have won if Andy Goram had been playing tbh.
You know what? What's the point of being sarcastic? Of all the games in this season, today's is the least important and we should be happy we didn't lose it to spoil the party. No one cares we didn't win.

Couldn't care less about the result. More entertaining than grinding out a dull 1-0. Our lads have been out celebrating A LOT recently so it's unsurprising they weren't at their sharpest.

We've lost two legends today though. Can't help but feel nervous about the future. Quietly optimistic though.

fecking bonkers game. Been a privilege to watch Sir Alex's teams, and of course my favourite player of all time Paul Scholes. Legends that will be missed incredibly.

Cheers Rob

Lukaku is fecking terrifying, can you loan him out again please?
No, Jose won't be so foolish, he might see him as the second coming of Drogba!
He was terrifying & he well could be the new Drog. Plenty of time on his side. Pace, strength, less theatrics (it seems like ATM)... The only thing missing is for him to bully Arsenal & shout "it's a fecking disgrace" into the camera :nervous:. Great loan spell for him.

Though today especially - it didn't help that no one in our defence supposedly knew who was picking him up. He literally had all the time in the world to pick his spot.

Shame SAF has decided not to do a post match presser.

What a fun game. Not much to get from this meaningless match, other than Valencia is getting better.

It's been a privilege, these past 20-odd years of supporting United. SAF is all I've ever known (like many of you), so it's a joyous, but sad/scary day. & Scholes  got booked - perfect send off.

I can't remember why I joined this war.

Very well said. Good thing though that both will stay at the club even though in different roles than we were used to but at least they aren't totally out of sight.
