That feels like Ole's tipping point to me.

Forget all the chat about formations and DMs and buying more players. Nothing will change the fundamental flaws within this team.

We have players, but are not a team. Thats on OLE even if the players are to blame

Well deserved for Villa. Dean Smith has done really well. It’s hard to look at their 11 and think of many players I’d want at United (maybe McGinn).

The less said about United the better. Never in control.

Thia game just cements my belief that we will win nothing this season and playing like this we dont get out of group stages. Ole has got to go... irs just not good enough.

Ole needs to go now. He crossed the line today. We should be doing far better with our resources. Shambolic

Nothing to do with the coaching. Not Ole's fault two defenders got injured. Not Ole's fault Bruno missed a pen. Not Ole's fault they got a corner wrongly for their goal.

Just making sure I get the excuses in early. Any others?

Same stuff. We’ll see excuses, calls for better squad, essays on the progress we made. Starting the league with such calendar and dropping points to Southampton, losing at home to Villa. If anyone genuinely believes we can still challenge a league with Ole in charge I adore their optimism.

Haven’t watched the game but I hope Woodward or whoever the feck is in charge now starts looking around for a decent manager

Fair play to Villa they deserved that I can't even hate. We need to sort it out because any team can outplay us on their day even at OT. team of individuals

What will it take for Ole to go? I am thinking relegation fight but even then his fans won't really be that bothered.

Missed that as on a train back from London. Sounded terrible. Pressure will quickly build on Ole with performances like that. The one defence is you lose all ability to change the game when you’re forced to take 2 defenders off.
Pretty garbage week for us so far!

we almost rescued a point against the mighty Villa in a tough ground that is Old Trafford.

Let's not strengthen midfield, 36yo Ronaldo will magically score goals instead, yay!

I love that we missed penalty at the end, we don't deserve anything from that shambolic performance.

Dross, 3 defeats in four and few fortunate results have glossed over some awful football so far this season. Looking at next 8 games this could go wrong very quickly for Ole if there isn’t significant improvement.

Completely and utterly dominated by Villa at home.

Lost every 2nd, 3rd and 4th ball.

A complete embarrassment.

Get Solskjaer and his cronies out of the club.

This team of mentally weak children will never win the league.
Nevermind the likes of Fred who stink up the place.

Poor performance , got what we deserved out of it.

You can't lose games like this and still think you a title challenging team.

It is just more the same mediocrity we are now used to.

Few positives today were Wan-Bissaka and, at least for me, Fred. Both were always where needed.

Villa's goal was offside and it came after what should have been a goal kick and not a corner kick. It's strange that VAR can't intervene in obvious errors.

Bruno rightfully missed the penalty, we didn't deserve shit.

Can’t fault the boys. Just beaten by a better team. Fair play, fair play.

Same shit different weekend. Ole won’t be sacked because all the people above him now are his mates.

The penalty miss didn't even matter much really. Rescuing a point wouldn't really make a difference in the long run, when it is clear we are not good enough to challenge for the title. Sad, but clearly true.

It does feel like a potential turning point to me as OT was not happy at the final whistle.

We lost to the team that, on the day, deserved it more. We didn't do anything in the second half. Our use of the ball through midfield was abysmal. We pretty much stopped playing after 45 minutes. Really, really poor. So much bad its barely worth talking about.

This season is going to be over before it begins, despite us having a top squad. We'll drift in the league and end up in the Europa before the board fecking act!

No tactics,
No coaching,
No idea,
No silverware,
No hope!

Bring Zidane or Conte in now!

That was not an unfair result. We did not play well. Villa came to our house and outworked and outmuscled us. I can take us not playing with style all the time but to be beaten to so many second balls by a clearly inferior team is embarrassing. Bruno should have scored but that means Ronny is taking over penalty duties for sure.
