Deserved it for the second half performance, but let's not kid ourselves. This just papers over the cracks.

against atalanta's B team, lest anyone forget. Great comeback, but they really shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Brilliant game. Ronaldo was everywhere. Fred was the best midfielder out there.

Should've had atleast a couple more.

Six points in the bag but unlike against Villarreal we didn’t steal these ones. Perhaps the worst first half and best second half of the season.

Great spirited second half. Papering over the cracks though if we read any more into a comeback against an Atalanta side that scores a lot but concedes a lot as well.

It’s hard to really enjoy that second half and result when the first half was so poor, it wasn’t just a banana skin it was the same problems that is ultimately becoming our downfall,

Anyway at least we have gave ourselves a chance in this group now

No passages of play, lost the players, no clue, no tactics, no subs...am I doing it right??

Amazing second half, strange first half, well deserved win.
Top of the group...
6th place in the EPL, potentially 8pts off the league leaders by the end of Sunday, 0 trophies and getting sarky over a Group Stage win.

No, I don't think you're doing it right.

Yeees! Brilliant second half.

Ole certainly hasn't lost the players.

All the miserable, moaning "fans" in here can feck off tonight.

Paul Scholes with some scathing words at full time. Wow.

Wenger on Bein is saying Fred's performance was the key to that second half comeback

Happy for the team and happy that our own fans that hope that we lose are on the wrong side again.

Need to cut out misstakes and protect our wide areas better. When we are open there we lose shape because of endless running to shut down those places from Fred, McTominay and our centerbacks. Our wide players need to be better defensivly. And Magurie needs to step up.

Absolutely delighted with the win. Our CL was over if we lost that!

We need to not let this paper over the cracks though. Another poor performance in the weekend and we have to make a managerial change to save the season.

We are a mess at the moment.

Ronnie was immense and worked so hard too.

We never actually played that bad even in the first half. Defending was obviously shambolic and I assume the hiring of a set piece coach was an April Fool but that was a hell of a game of football.

Win is a win but Scholes hit the nail on the head there. It just papers over the cracks.

It's intense, entertaining and edge of your seat stuff. But it's not sustainable.

It’s papering over huge cracks but have to enjoy a comeback win. Think some bad days ahead as tougher games to come, I expect Ole to be gone by Xmas but we need to qualify from this group.

Match day thread fans. Feck me.

Ronnie saves the day. Celebrates like he's won the ECL. We need more passion like that. Feck anyone who strolls through a game.

Great second half performance

They were pretty lucky to be two up, but the way things are going I didn't see a way back. Happy for the team that they got back into it and now top the group

Entertaining and probably deserved win in the end. Not the greatest performance though, against a team missing players and shite defensively.

I felt the same as Scholes.

I enjoyed the comeback, and felt like it was inevitable really because of how open the game was.

But it's a bit dampened by the fact that it is a very attacking, depleted Atalanta side. Like Scholes said, we can't play like this against Liverpool.

All in all though, we did play well tonight and the players definitely looked like they were desperate to win for their manager.

That's a proper Manchester United comeback! Well done to all the boys!

De Gea is on fire right now. What a keeper! As far as i'm concerned, best keeper in europe at the moment.
