Redknapp: “what’s the difference? He’s going in on goal”

Ok so it’s a foul only if you are about to shoot.

Not enough contact and would be incredibly harsh says Redknapp. Waiting excitedly for what he says about the Maguire one
What a fecking ass man. Two hands grabbed the arm and he fully extends a shove. Much more contact than we see on the Maguire replay

Lost control of the game at 1-0, they started finding passes through the middle of the pitch too easy, where the CMs didn’t cut them out and the CBs didn’t come out to close down quick enough (chiefly Yoro - too nice). Their second goal was coming. Some good stuff particularly first half, but still prone to periods of drift and openness. Pressing inconsistent.

All that said, robbed by the ref.

Well it wasn't boring but even ref decisions aside thought we struggled to control the game. Felt like Ten Hag chaos ball.

Take the point but Leeds will be a big game now.

Match-winning performance by Stuart Atwell, turned the game on it's head.

Well that was an absolute disgrace of a refereeing performance. He should be investigated over those calls.

We have been on the end of so many awful decisions, you cant but help to think its not a coincidence. Poor refereeing can be explained away when technology exists to right the wrong. But to still wave play away just defies all logic of fairness.

Still, we need to defend better, having kept barely 4 clean sheets all season also tells you that after attack has been improved, the midfield and defence is screeming out for improvement. No game for 3 weeks now to stew over terrible refereeing performance!

I don't get the logic though. A goal is even more reason to go back and give it, it's just an even bigger story because of the goal if you don't

It's not going to be a story though because it's us who it fecks over. It'll get a bit of a mention post match then everyone will move on, like always.

Evanilson is already going down. The contact from Maguire isn't enough to bring him down anyway. Yet that's a foul apparently, while being shoved to the ground with two hands isn't.

Refs can get fecked

Shaw
Dalot
Mainoo
Mbuemo
Amad

…all really poor today. You can afford one or two sub-par performances, but when half your outfield players are disappointing, you can’t be expecting three points. So frustrating for Bruno, Cunha and Lammens, who were so good tonight.

Jamie Redknapp says Amad is manhandled but not a penalty, but Evanilson is through on goal so it has to be a penalty.

The through on goal thing is irrelevant to whether or not it’s a foul. And this fella is getting paid a lot to be talking about this here.

Redknapp seems to have joined the ‘I’ve got no knowledgable insight so I’ll say something controversial’ brigade. Next step is a job on Talksport.

Jamie Redknapps opnion is irrelevant as is most pundits though.

I'm genuinely embarrased to be the same species as that stupid cnut.

Officials cost us the game. Should have been a comfortable 2-0. Hope the club complains about the officials.

Post match analysis of the penalty decisions show the Bournemouth penalty to be totally soft.
Harry puts his arm out to put him off balance and Evanilson immediately rolls himself into a dive.
The physicality on Amad was far more obvious. He was pushed over, even if Amad goes down easily.

So we were cheated, but it doesn’t detract from our shockingly bad midfield performance for almost all of that 2nd half.
.

Poor. Referee did fine, not going to jump on the victim United bandwagon. Need to win more. Carrick simply isn't winning every match.

Poor? Thought this was Mainoo's best game in a while.

Sky's pundits and commentary team for me is at an all time low. Glad I have a fire stick and my money isn't going to that tripe. Redknapp proving he is absolutely clueless about football with that penalty decision tonight.

Actually thought Mainoo was decent today. He wasn’t amazing but seemed to be linking up well with those around him and was always showing for the ball. I think he definitely needs to be more creative / dynamic though.

Agree with the other four, poor game from them.

Redknapp is a complete clown. When on earth is a pen only given when someone is stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity? If you foul a player in the box, it's a pen mate.

Draw is fine. A bit of a poor second half after dominating most of the first- Probably not a coincidence that Casemiro was good in the first half and looked exhausted in the second half and we struggled. Unlucky with the Amad penalty call.

Ultimately I don’t think this result will count for very much at all come the end of the season. Home form is where we will get the top 4 and I’m very confident about that.

On a side note Bournemouth are pretty decent team. Their attacking quality wasnt great but they opened our midfield up a fair bit.

A victim bandwagon would be saying that all refs want to screw us over. We saw two incidents where the less obvious foul was given as a penalty for Bournemouth, entirely because we had already had a completely stonewall penalty from a foul on Cunha. It's absolute bias from the referees, not because we're man united but because of previous incidents in the game. Terrible inconsistent refereeing.

Two very different halves. A bit more sharpness in the first half and we could've been comfortably in front.

Unlike many others, I don't think there is a ref conspiracy against United. The Cunha pen was clear and obvious. The Amad and Evanilson incidents could've gone either way.

We got a point, and that is progress from last season.

Let's move on and finish the season on a high. Improve the team in the summer, and we won't have to rely on a couple of tiny incidents to win us games.

With Onana or Bayindir in goal tonight, we would have lost the game 100%.

That missed penalty for the foul on Amad was an absolute disgrace. 5 feet away looking right at the foul happening. I was just waiting for him to pint to the spot and couldn’t understand how he had let play go on. Then I was certain VAR would give it. Then they score and VAR also bottle it as they don’t want to rule out the goal. Shambolic.

I thought we’d draw beforehand but it that manner, it’s very tough to take.

That United hating bitter cnut Redknapp can absolutely get fecked. Laughably biased punditry.

Biased and absolutely incorrect in what he’s saying. Covering defenders and a goal scoring opportunity are irrelevant to whether or not it’s a penalty.

Yeah, unfortunately, I thought he was poor. Did a lot of simple stuff, but that absolutely wasn’t enough to wrestle control of the midfield. Of the four central midfielders on the pitch, I thought he was one of the poorest in impacting the game.

Are you mad?
He was one of the main reasons we were overrun in CM for almost all the 2nd half.
Nowhere near the play.
Out of position and bypassed time after time.
Slow and not reading the game with Bournemouth strutting through the middle.
Can’t challenge or tackle.
Gets swatted aside in any physical contest.
Hopeless.
