Feel like something pretty remarkable has to happen against Sunderland for him to be in place against Liverpool after the break. He needed either a good performance or a good result today, he got neither. I don't think we looked any better today than in that first game against Ipswich. Doubt he'll get the chop this week, but it should be obvious to all that it's not working, I think it'll happen after Sunderland. The team just don’t believe in themselves, and Amorim doesn’t seem to be able to fire them up.

Every goal conceded was a mess. From playing the defender onside, to not going with the runner when we had 3 against 2 and then a heavy touch and poor pass from Mainoo for the third

On a positive note as least a United game is done by 2.30pm and we can all get on with our weekends

What is there left to say? Scruffy Jim may be as stubborn as Amorim but he must see this just isn't working and nor will it.

It really feels like the player gave up or don't understand what Amorim want them to do.

I don't know what you guys are expecting really? Yeah we could've drawn/won if Bruno scores his penalty (sigh) but this team is destined to fail.
We have no midfielders, a shit right back, shakey keeper (did well today tbf except last goal).

I mean I don't know how we're supposed to play with a midfield squad of:

Bruno - AM moonlighting as a midfielder. Can't dribble past a man, can only pass and move
Mount - Again not a midfielder, can barely dribble past a man
Mainoo - Can't last 90 minutes, looks sleepy/not focused all the time (3rd goal is on him, shock)
Casemiro - Needs a stick to walk these days
Ugarte - Doesn't play football. Can't control or pass a ball to save his life

The entire formation/squad/whatever you want to call it is set up to fail.

Result aside, we were unlucky against Arsenal right?

It is what it is. Never expected to win, never looked like winning.

Sick of losing to Brentford away. Should have scored the penalty and gone onto get a draw but instead it’s another defeat this season.

I’ve seen us play worse away to Brentford but then again, we’ve played better versions of them too. It was a slow and lethargic performance, no fluidity and nervous defending which has ultimately cost us.

Amorim needed a result today. He has to keep those black clouds away from the club.

Another long, hard season ahead. It doesn't matter what we do or how much money we spend, we remain rubbish. Brentford deserved the points. Nobody seems to know how we turn things around. I remember when losing a game used to make me angry. Now it's the norm.

I don’t understand what a manager change is supposed to accomplish when you concede goals like that.
what did this system create? hes got creativity all over and he cant create a single chance against Brentford. It had 3 slow as defenders against a very fast Brentford team and had them pushed up. Maybe a manager with half a brain wouldnt do that

This team is rubbish defensively

Maguire, De Ligt, Shaw and Bayindir were nowhere near good enough. Brentford won almost everything in the air. Thats Maguire and De Ligt's strength and Brentford were stronger. Van De Berg won 5 offensive aerials, Collins won another 2. Bayindir needs to make those saves properly. Not good enough

Bruno missed the penalty obviously hes at fault there. That should be a 2nd goal. But that would still be 1 point not 3 and thats assuming we don't still concede the 3rd goal on the break. But lets be honest we probably would have.

Out of sorts. They were better than us all over the field. For once, I agree we were totally beaten tactically. They found all the right spaces. In attack and defence.

Too many poor performances and results now. Very flat and no aggression. Dalot particularly awful. Bruno invisible, Mbeumo had a stinker. Only positive was Sesko scoring

Ended the game with Dalot shifted to CB, Mount at LWB and Mbeumo at RWB. All because he won't change his stupid fecking system.

So many awful performances.

He has got to go...right?

Keeper again at fault, how much longer does he start?
Not a red for the penalty, how?
Nice to see Sesko off the mark, only positive of the match.

Bruno, Dalot, Maguire and Shaw should be nowhere near the starting eleven after this. All 4 of them where fecking terrible todaty

He simply has to go. That points achieved vs points available stat is atrocious

I dont think Liverpool will hammer us, purely because they actually have CL, so will take their foot off the gas after 3 goals or so, and rest players. So our clueless owners will see it as a respectable result, against a club who's level we are aspiring to be at

It almost needs Ole's Watford moment at this point, it feels like the only thing that may finally make them act

There are a lot of parallels to ETH from last year. We probably deserved more from our first 5-6 games last season.

This year we could’ve got more against Arsenal, Fulham and today. Bruno’s penalty misses have cost us points. Maybe we beat Fulham, maybe we go on to win today or at least draw.

Ultimately, none of that matters though. Amorim refuses to change things. Maybe he’s been a tad unlucky just as Ten Hag was to some extent.

Unfortunately, we can’t afford to wait for the luck to turn around. They’ve given him as long as he could possible have hoped given the results and if he won’t change we have to.

Think part of the problem is defenders are not taking responsibility. Two players running backwards and both think that free player is the other ones responsibility.

Moving to a 4231 would help massively. Make defenders know their role a lot more whilst allowing Bruno to play his best position and get Mainoo on the field.

Our WBs are awful. This would allow us to have better quality in all thirds.

Arsenal - Yes
Fulham - No
Grimsby - Yes
Burnley - Yes
Manchester City - Yes
Chelsea - Yes
Brentford - Yes

6 of 7 games this season we have conceded in the first shot on target

according to ChatGPT, this is a 0.17% occurance.

Something is wrong

Can someone tell me were still top of the xg table? I also hope were top of the stick with the manager table. And the cool third kit but play like shit table. Lots of awards still to be won.

Ref (var) bottled it. As did we.

Can’t stand Amorim’s behaviour during the pen.

He just comes across as mentally weak and insipid. Can't watch pens, hides in the dugout against League 2 teams, offers his resignation on a monthly basis.

What about this man suggests a leader who can take this club forward? Saying what the fans want to hear?
