He has to go. There’s no defending his selections, his in game management and his substitutions.
Fair play to him for trying to rid the club of SOME of the divas, but his system is putrid.

For the avoidance of doubt i've been amorim out since very early on. Anyone who knows anything about the premier league knew this system wouldn't work.

But, if i could see progress id eat my words. There were some who were saying progress was being made, despite a tricky set of early fixtures i was happy to wait for a day like today and see if i could see what others were saying was true.

That was appalling. There cannot be anyone left out there who doesn't think the gig is up.

I was surprised about the amount of hubris on here following last weeks win over Chelsea - lots of comments about winning the next 2 games to get a bit of momentum for the Liverpool game.

Didn't make any sense. The only consistent thing about United for the last decade or so is their inconsistency.

Id like to see a poll, would be interesting to see if anyone still backs him (bar our clueless owners) and if so, why?

Another hard earned 0 points.

When you list it out, it's hard to believe Amorim is still here.

I don't understand where the club thinks it is going. They talk about culture and holding players to a standard, but then from the top of the club they dont hold the manager and board to the same levels.

Amorim needs to go, as do many of the players.

Sir Jims experiment is a dud, he didnt have the funds to buyout the club so we are stuck in this limbo, of pushing PR about plans to get back where we belong, whilst be outspent by better operators in the league and abroad.

  • We dont have money
  • We dont have good owners
  • We dont have best in class operators on the board
  • We dont have a top level manager
  • We dont have an adequate fitness department
  • We dont have top level players.

These are the results you get.

Yeah I think he’s gone. It’s not even the results this season, it’s that we look completely clueless still.

Selecting Maguire to play a high line is a sackable offence to me. It suggests a coach who has no idea what he’s doing.

Even if your argument is that he’s needed to defend against Brentford’s set pieces; why not set up deeper then?

We have better players than Brentford and it’s embarassing to lose in such a shit way where we look half arsed for long periods.

We should’ve been playing against ten men for 25 minutes and the officials just prove they don’t know the rules. If there’s a quick red card decision as it should’ve been, then there’s no delay, no three fecking subs and maybe Fernandes buries it. All ifs and maybes but we’ve been let down once again by the official and it stinks. Yes, we are shit, but we win that against ten men or at least get a point.

Wouldn’t blame the keeper for their third, take a look at Mainoo being a complete arsehole. I’m sure he doesn’t give a feck seeing as he is so keen to leave.

Mbeumo the only person who looks arsed.

Shaw shite. Sloppy and ponderous and needs fecking off.

And this is why i have not bothered watching us since the 2nd game.of the season, we are easily going to be bottom half of the table again if he stays.

Sad thing is we can save our season with top 4/6 still reachable point wise but we will probably do what we always do and leave it too late and watch another miserable season being written off

We've looked good at times this year, this was the game to really show that we've made progress. I cant support him anymore. Amorim out.

The screw is turning i feel. Even if we cam back and won 3-2, i was saying to myself its a poor performance.

This place will never learn...you cant have these players on current payrolls, the end, whole thing is rotten.

Stop starting matches with 5 defenders. It's too defensive and we invite way too much press.

Yes in the sense that we never looked like scoring, no in the sense that Brentford did nothing groundbreaking to score three goals.

Brentford are a super basic team after their transfers, they did nothing complicated but even they changed their system to exploit weaknesses in the Utd set up.

One team was playing football, the other was playing subuteo.

So tired of seeing our players standing like statues passing at a stand still and not pushing up, especially when we are in our own half without any opposition player anywhere near them.

May as well sack him now. Need to get in a manager who can get these players to: play the right ball, play the right ball at the right time, play the right ball at the right time with the right weight, take less than four touches to find a pass, look forward once or twice a match, pass forward once or twice a match, compete in one on one duels like they actually care, direct simply passes, control simple passes, direct simple defensive headers to people wearing the same colour clothes as them, control simply knock downs and defensive headers, track runners, anticipate crosses, put in a decent cross, anticipate mistakes, know where other players are on the pitch, convert penalties, make easy saves, fight for possession, withstand the slightest brush of an opponents kit to stay on their feet, and run like they aren't in quicksand.

Once we get in a new manager and these players do all of the above we'll be really cooking. Dalot, for one example, once he starts doing all those simple things there's a half-decent squad player in there.

While we can’t keep changing managers every season and I had hoped Amorim would sort us out, I can’t see any positives any more. Bruno had a shocker and should have been hooked at half time. Yoro should have started the match. Both those calls on him. His behaviour at the penalty doesn’t help. I think it’s time to call it a day.

Conceding shit goals week after week but leaving the dodgy keeper in and the midfielder who can't play in midfield

This utter stubbornness is the issue now,
2-1 down with 20 to go and the pace is awful. Just nothing. Cruising.

It's important not to panic. We missed a penalty and our underlying stats were without doubt highly impressive, so in a way, we did actually win this one. Huge congratulations to the soon to be Underlying Manager of the Month.
What did the Xg say? did we win the Xg. As long as we are winning that, we should be okay, who cares about the league table.

Shocking decision not to send off Collins and an obscene amount of time before the penalty but it's hard to even be upset about some of these things when the result is mostly self inflicted again.

Horrible gameplan, terrible penalty and very little to be encouraged by yet again.

We’re just plodding along until the inevitable sacking happens. We know it’s not going to get better.

Games like this should be an easy 3 points but we just didnt turn up. The defence were a complete shambles. Panicking, no aggression, just a complete positional mess.
Midfield had zero control of the ball. The new front three didn't click.
We allowed Brentford to play well, a team who have really struggled this season but could played us off the park.

Bruno is part of the tactic
He always has been. The problem is he's also been out best player which sounds like a contradiction in terms.

We shaped our team for Fernandes but his Captain Chaos antics have undermined us more times than his deceptive "hero" moments.

Has to go now.

His refusal to adapt to our situation in game, no matter how desperate it is, means there is no real future with him.

You cannot be that rigid and win against one of the worst teams in the league, let alone where we want to be, in the CL.

He is too stubborn to be a winner.

Heard a stat earlier that he's statistically the 36th worst manager in PL history. Might have cracked the top 30 after that.

The fact he's made it this far is shocking. Just an abysmal appointment.

It was one of the worst united performances I've witnessed against a team that lost their best players.

It was turgid, putrid and a disgrace quite frankly

We’ve got statistically the worst manager and starting goalkeeper in our history at the moment, and that’s completely disregarding the issues elsewhere. It’s really not looking good.
