Watching the game and seeing them trying to play the ball out from the back almost every time, it almost felt quaint. The style has gone so out of fashion almost overnight!

I always hated that trend. I guess I'm a dinosaur, but it never, ever made any sense to me. It just seems so high risk, low reward. We turned them over so easily from it and created a ton of chances and a few goals.

I'm taking a bit of pleasure in the fact that the Temu Pep Russell Martins of this world are being phased out of the game!

Scanning people moaning over the subs. I'm sorry but if a manager can't make subs at 3-0 and expect them to do a job seeing out a match then when can he? If anything though, it proves Ruben so right that Mainoo just simply isn't good enough in this system. He's one we have to let go for funds if Amorim is to stay, it's as simple as that.

I agree about the subs. I saw a YouTube clip of Andy Goldstein on Talksport slating Amorim for the subs, asking why the need to make subs at 3-0?! "Can players not play 90 minutes anymore?"

He wants Amorim sacked and will use any excuse to criticise him. But I can guarantee you if he didn't make subs at 3-0, he'd be saying "why not give Kobbie a run? Why not give Zirkzee a run?"

I still have doubts about Amorim but even I wouldn't give him stick for the subs. If anything, it shows the squad isn't as deep as some people liked to think. At least now he knows.

Totally agree mate. So many teams relentlessly playing out of the back is not as fun of a watch to me. Love it.

This is not a one off. Whenever Case was sub off we lost control of the midfield.
