A winning start to the season and a very satisfying one.

We held a slim 1:0 advantage at half-time and it was a very open first 45 minutes with Chelsea well in it.

In the second-half we tightened up, sat deeper and looked to hit Chelsea on the break. We did so with devastating effect scoring two quick fire goals midway through the second-half from Martial and Rashford. Daniel James put the icing on the cake with a fourth just minutes after making his debut.

A 4:0 win in the end and lots of positives to take from the result. Plenty still to work on but we're off and running.

Delighted.

Maguire looked superb. We look balanced at the back. And pure joy seeing James score.

Utter shite. Can only manage 4 goals against a team that have a transfer ban and lost their only decent player in the summer? Useless. Back in my day this never would have happened. We walked 50 miles to Old Trafford, not like these car driving millennials nowadays, and we drank real drinks like urine instead of these fancy alcopops laced with ket that I assume the children drink when they go to their dive bars filled with Xbox arcade devices and processed sugar biscuits. Sack Ole and bring back Charlie Chaplin, I say.

Great start. Rashford and Martial off the mark, debut goal from James, two assists for Pogba. Let's keep it going!

Maguire MOTM.

AWB was great as well.

Good counter attacking football. Improvement needed in possession.

Lets go, win against Wolves next

Dodgy first half, probably lucky to go in ahead. Fantastic second half.

AWB and Maguire looked great. Lindelof MotM.

Anyone who wants rid of Pogba needs to give their head a wobble.

Fecking buzzing!

Tons of positive. Very lucky at times, but a huge confidence boosting win. Maguire will be a huge signing, as will Wan-Bissaka.

As surprised and delighted as Brighton fans probably were last night!

First clean sheet since Feb, right?

Poor first half. But the change of tactics around the 55th minute or so changed the game for us. We started to easily handle Chelsea's attack and could exploit the space behind them. Very good second half from everyone.

Pereira had a great assist, but I struggle to see him nailing a consistent place in the team. Probably the worst of our players out there. Concerning.

First half was terrible but I’m absolutely delighted with what I’ve seen overall. We look an actual team, excellent debuts.

Authoritative game from big Harry and AWB. They both look like money well spent. Rash and Martial grew into the game. Pogba didn’t have his best game today but even when he’s not at his best he’s capable of moments like that. Couldn’t be happier for James, the raw emotion when he scored was beautiful.

Lots of room for improvement but you just can't be negative winning 4-0 against Chelsea  I thought the biggest positives were our new guys, especially Maguire. Our midfield is still very worrying though, the likes of Lingard and Perreira should be nowhere near our first team.

Perfect result but plenty to work on from the performance, hopefully it was just a bit of early season rust and nerves which that result should go some way to alleviate.

Not going to get carried away with the performance as a whole but the outcome is everything you could have hoped for before the match. Goals for Rashford and Martial, James scoring on his debut and a clean sheet for the new defence.
