Thought we'd make more of a fight for fourth place, but instead we'll do well to get a Europa spot.

We really played like we should towards the end there. No idea why elanga doesn’t take that ball first time and sancho could have used some composure when the ball fell to him. Really told myself Harry wouod score late and that last minute change. Damn.
Also, where we will be next season EL might actually be a better fit imo. We will be clearing out players and implementing younger players, some from academy some from other leagues and while we build and identity so be it.

If we didn't t have to play Pool, I'd say 4th is still up fir grabs as I think the Arse are gonna feck it up at some point.

They’ve checked out weeks ago. Really poor effort from many.

Biggest problem with Bruno up front, Pogba was behind him and was useless.

Thought Elanga was terrible today and is nowhere near ready to be starting. Sancho average at best. Again game was lost in midfield as usual so nothing new. Pogba and Scott did nothing really and Fred was okay but gave it away so much too

McTominay, Elanga and Pogba abhorrent performances. Sancho, Shaw and Varane all poor. Bruno choking good chances as usual.

Rashford with the standard mope around cameo.

Fred the only outfield player who isn’t a shambles.

Stick a fork in the season and most of these players futures.

That's me done for the season. Can't put myself through another 90 odd minutes of absolute dross for nothing

Fernandes, Fred, Maguire and De Gea should get paid. Rest should get fines.

and some fans here were happy that Chelsea lost today, like we were going to take advantage. Well 1 point gained. Comedy club we've become.

The season is utterly dead because we can't be trusted to resemble a functional football team from one minute to the next. Clear the decks and start making some good footballing decisions this summer, or we can expect more of this next season.

Imagine spending a billion quid and you still need a right-back, a holding midfielder, a right winger and a striker...urgently.

Fred was the obvious man of the match, other than that, I thought Maguire was decent.

So we are playing Conference League next season, if even that?

We suck. At this point, Ten Hag coming in and giving him full control, lots of cash and lots of time is the only positive that can possibly happen. If our owners/executives fecks even that up - we are truly done and over.

Can’t post in his performance thread but I just don’t think Sancho is that good. I won’t pretend I watched him in the Bundesliga and I know his numbers were really good but we’ve already seen that that’s not a great indicator - just look at Werner’s reputation since he came to England.

The most frustrating thing about him for me is when he runs at someone he just doesn’t know what to do. It’s like he’s waiting for something to happen rather than actually taking the initiative, his lack of burst is a massive killer. He reminds me of Mata with worse technique. Other than nice passes to an overlapping full back I just don’t see what he’s good at.
