Those protests look superb now don't they. Cost us 2 home defeats, and let Liverpool into the top 4.

Brilliant effort lads.
Who gives a flying fcuk about Liverpool!!!

Are you drunk? - The protests are the only good thing to come out of this.

Can't spell Mkhitaryan
McFred are our wall in the big games. This match shows that tactic doesn't work. Pogba in the middle against the tough teams does not work. We need a couple in there that can control the centre both going forwards and back.

That was horrendous and we could easily have conceded six. The home form this season is embarrassing. Liverpool fully deserved their win; they cut us open so many times and our defence was all over the place all evening.

One good thing is the wake up call it provides. If we are to compete for the title next season, we need several really good signings: a top class centre back and an upgrade on Fred and McTominay are essential, for starters. We are on a journey of improvement, but that journey still has some way to go.

Gifted them four goals. No way you can win a game if you do that against anyone, nevermind Liverpool.

Felt we looked better when we went with Rashy and Greenwood on the wings. Could have easily equalised but wasnt meant to be. Their fourth goal killed us but again, something easily avoidable.

Feels shit to lose against these, especially when we specifically rested players for this one. Ahh well.

Hoping we can win our remaining games.

Not as good as Liverpool tonight, very frustrating performance as we beat ourselves as much as we got beat by them. Defending was appalling on the night, 3 of their goals were avoidable. There was a point when we could have got 3 all but didn’t really do enough,

Not many performances to praise, Bruno played well, Rashford was really good from the left when switched over. Scott had one of his worst displays in a United shirt, though I felt he fell over on the 2nd incident, it could have easily been a second yellow.

Wake up call for the owners that we need to spend money at both ends of the pitch if we want to compete for the title.

Liverpool have such an aggressive press. Jota, Mani and Salah are so aggressive, quick and skillful. Utd gifted them a few goals. That setpiece before halftime cannot happen. Cavani needs to score. Overall Liverpool deserved it.

You can't gift them two goals like we did off set pieces with Jota and especially the Firmino goal...Pogba was a disgrace defensively there

Third goal was piss poor as well with the initial ball from Fred then we recover only for Shaw to try and dribble out of the back when we are at 6's & 7's at the back

That's not the type of performance that will make you feel good about going into the Europa Final when we are playing our biggest rival and we are taking the piss against them defensively and shitting ourselves

Diabolical stuff for the first 20-25 mins of the second half, then a good 5 mins, then nothing until we gifted them a fourth for good measure. So many collective and individual mistakes tonight it was impressively bad at times. Hard to trust this team when they produce shit like that.

Hopefully we learn from this going into the transfer market.

Rashford on the right is a disaster. Either put him on the bench or play him on the left, he's horrible on the right. Soon as he moves back onto his side he looks a genuine threat, especially with space to run into. Pogba maybe better there against a low block, dunno.

Certain players think they're already in the starting line-up for the final.

They need a reality check. I'd give the second string some opportunities to prove their hunger to start against Villareal. Some players are in the team simply because we haven't invested wisely.

I hope Ole is kicking piles of laundry and throwing pizza right now
Even the groundskeeper can guess our starting lineup. Thats a problem

How we ever thought that Henderson (someone who has never won the league, never played in a world cup, never played in the euros) could displace De Gea I will never know. He is good but still needs to prove himself in games with tight margins. I have yet to see him single handedly save our arses or win us points in tight games whereas De Gea has done, many many times. Notwithstanding his recent drop in form of course.

Desperately missed Maguire. You have to laugh at people who thought Bailly's new contract was a good idea, he's just a mess of a defender.

A lot of players had off nights tonight, but the ones who you expect to play poorly did. We can't be starting that midfield two in the big games next season, its just not good enough.

Gifted them CL football and just fecked off.

They just didn't show up today.

As a United player, how can you not get yourself psyched up for a game against Liverpool? Bottlers the lot of them.

United minus the Glazers
There was nothing much to play for and Liverpool clearly wanted it more to secure a CL position.

We are not a million miles away from winning a trophy. I hope we get a solid CM and a Lindelof replacement.

Players did try though, so i won't be too harsh. Ultimately pool had more to play for, Even if thats a bad excuse.
Did try for a few minutes, but sum the game up and the effort wasn't close to good enough. This match were there for taking, but we gave it away.

Bailly, Lindelof without Maguire, Fred, McT and Pogba reek of 18-19. Bad then, bad now. Bobbins. Sell them.

A very disappointing performance. Score line could have been a lot worse, too. Disappointed after we started well.

We looked like a team that couldn't be arsed. They looked like a team fighting for something.

Mentality was shit.
If you're not arsed against your biggest rival you should leave the club. That was absolute shit. feck I'm annoyed.

It was a poor performance although they needed to win it more and that surely played a part. However there's also still too many compromises being made, we play with 2 limited midfielders because our defence desperately needs protecting and we don't have one holding player who is good enough, Pogba is on the left because he's a talented player but isn't trusted in the middle and that means that Rashford is shunted out of position to fill the gap on the right.

Add in the fact that there's uncertainty about the goalkeeper position and a lack of depth which was shown on Tuesday and you would have to say the team and staff have done well to be 2nd because on paper right now they would probably be the 4th favourites going into next season.

Played right into Liverpool's hands trying to dribble out of defence, and dawdling on the ball instead of being decisive.

Almost like we've never seen Klopp's Liverpool ever play before

Add to that a Bailly/Lindlehof partnership.

Conceding 4 is unacceptable.

Also, Rashford scoring will take some of the heat of the criticism off him, but it shouldn't. Sometimes Rashford is criminal in his workrate off the ball. When you see Cavani, Bruno, even Pogba pressing and then Rashford isn't following their example, it's frustrating as hell.

Maguire is crucial for us at the back. Leadership and organisation. Without him we look wide open. Lindelof is quiet and weak and Bailly plays like a 12 year old kid.

McFred can work if the defence is structured behind them, but the lines were all over the place and nobody had the understanding of how to snuff out Liverpool's passing options. They just passed it through us without having to do anything difficult.

Hate losing to that mob.

What hurts more is how we rolled over and let them dominate us on our ground.

What little positive we can take from that is that Ole and the board will hopefully see how we need serious investment in this squad.

Central midfield x2, right wing, centre back to begin with.

Disgraceful. And it looked like Bailly got injured which means our terrible defending will be even more terrible against Villareal. Need DM ASAP, Fred is just awful

Rather these performances flair up now which gives Ole time to assess and pick the right team for Villarreal. Personally, I would not be using Bailly again this season and give Tuanzebe the nod. Same scenario for Henderson, he was very poor tonight, time for De Gea

If we had midfield depth then Fred and McTominay should be looking over their shoulders but unfortunately we have fecking nobody. They're lucky.

Was a weird game though, the players in the 1st half in particular were strolling around playing half arsed with feck all focus. Liverpool wanted it more and put far more effort on the pitch. Looked to me like some of our players were trying to stroll through hoping to avoid injury for the Europa Final/Euros. Just not good enough. Just a very poor attitude across the pitch. One of Luke Shaws worst performances in the last year or so.

Teaching Rashford how to pay on the right will be important for a free flowing attacking system to work. But this might not have been the game for it. Sticking Rashford on the left puts fear into TAA's boots.

Shit happens. Feel that our fatigue showed up against a hard pressing Liverpool side who were just playing their second game in 19 days while we were playing our 5th or 6th with largely the same team.

We're clearly not signing 2 starting calibre CBs this summer, so why make an area of weakness depth wise even weaker than it currently is?

Yeah, just the massive rival that we've let into the champions league meaning their top players stay and are still a prime draw for signings.
Yeah, no issue at all.

Brilliant.

Unfortunate - goalkeeping errors in my opinion. Have to write it off as a bad result. Really hope they don’t make top four.
Goalkeeping errors!! Maybe for the 3rd goal which is originally caused by Fred and then Shaw, nothing Henderson could do about the 3 goals
