Derby victory for City as they run out 3:1 winners. A fast start for the home side saw them lead after 12 minutes and while we grew into the game as the first-half went on, Aguero's goal early after the break to make it 2:0 put them in charge. Lukaku's introduction as a sub immediately led to a penalty which Martial scored to make a game of it in the last 30 minutes.

We threw on Mata and Sanchez looking for an equaliser but couldn't complete the comeback this time as City got a third late on. City go back top and we remain in eight.

Man City 1:0 Man Utd (David Silva - 12')

Man City 2:0 Man Utd (Aguero - 48' pen)

Man City 2:1 Man Utd (Martial - 58' pen)

Outplayed, outclassed. Turned up to defend, and once again: only tried to attack when behind.

The last 30 seconds of that match highlights the way City piss all over us these days. Men against a bunch of clueless kids.

City were in 2nd or 3rd gear the whole game and ripped us apart, 12 points behind after 12 games, traversty.

We got battered again. We're a painfully mediocre team that is heading nowhere.

Thoroughly expected. Cowardly tactics again. I don't care if it means we get pumped by city a couple times a season. I cannot watch this absolutely dire football anymore.

Yet again massive individual errors on all the goals.

Stronger ref needed in the derby. So inconsistent in favour of city it was unbelievable l

Honestly think we could have robbed a 2-2 had we had Pogba on for that period in the second half. (Still not good enough overall obviously)

They are just a much better team. Better players but most importantly. Better manager. Well drilled attacking football and it seems they didn't even have to come out of second gear.

Embarrassing how far behind we are now. Heads should roll at board room level for allowing this to happen with season-on-season neglect and poor signings.

With Pogba we could have got something. City were rattled. Also Sterling was an absolute tosspot at the end

It isn't about City. Its about Mourinho's poor tactics, poor team selections and poor performances in the team, which as manager, he is ultimately responsible.

Any other football club would have sacked Mourinho.

Rubbish performance. No attacking intent at all. 1 goal flattered us if we are honest.

Not even mad tbh. Once Pogba was out we know this was bound to happen. We're a nothing team without him and the gulf of quality between both teams is ridiculous.

Won't even blame the players, except Matic.

We are not going to beat them. Atleast not with this tactics. We need some new players as well.

Massive gulf in quality and class, in every position bar the keeper.

We looked happy to lose by 2. It's a sad state of affairs.

Not sure what to make of it when Mourinho doesn't even have a solid set of defenders in his third season at the club.

As soon as it surfaced that Pogba was not going to be involved, I knew it would turn out this way.

No ball player, no chance.

Couple of jammers and a keeping error. Would like to see more pride in the shirt, not holding out hope.

Totally outplayed. We looked like a bottom half team trying to keep the score respectable.

Pathetic.

Jose is coward - never drops matic and he's one of the main reasons we conceded so much

8th place - our involvement in the title race is over. Top four is practically gone too. The warning signs were there last year. We didn't heed them and here we are. The next 7 months are pointless - we are simply killing time until the new man in gets a go at the circus that is Manchester United.

Embarrassing really. Fecking get stuck in, foul them, press them, whatever... But don't just let them pass it around with so much fecking ease.

44 passes? Embarrassing.

Factoring how they spent £1trn while United can barely string scraps together, the fans are spoilt even expecting United to challenge them. Gratitude should be shown to Jose for even somehow getting the players out there to kick a ball, considering how disadvantaged he is.
