I am absolutely buzzing after this win! Incredible performance from the lads, with Bruno playing a key part. What a signing he is, truly magnificent. One more thing,

Ighalo > Lukaku

About DJ, he has such a huge asset with his pace, and he also manages to take on defenders sometimes. But if he doesn't improve his decision making and final passes then he won't make it here. His lack of vision when Bruno was free on the penalty spot was borderline criminal.
If he doesn’t improve from age 22 we might as well give up.

Great result and a much needed win to keep this run going. We tend to have maybe 5 or 6 epic feeling wins in a season if we are lucky. This was certainly one of those. Ole is bringing back the old United feelings, and this is a team with huge potential and a bright future.

We arent there yet though. Far from it. Those two chances to play in Bruno that were spurned were borderline criminal and if we want to get the best out of him we have to see those passes. City score with both of those openings 9 times out of 10. This one could have been a big scoreline.

Player wise it's tough to pick a MOM. So many impressed. Matic was outstanding. Lindelof. AWB owns his side of the pitch. Shaw. Bruno. Could go on. For me though Martial was the stand out. He wasnt perfect but the desire that he showed was a credit to himself and the staff.

Tactically very good. The defence was organised differently to how it usually is. Very narrow. Full backs tucking in and stopping those cute one-twos that City do better than anyone. Ole has another big name win on his resume

The moaners can do one

Can't believe Ole is smiling in the post match interview after having only 28% possession at home
Yeah what an idiot, imagine being happy beating city 2-0 at home and getting an important 3 points when we were heavily favoured to lose. Guys clueless!

Clearly it’s not ideal playing that style, but it’s definitely the way to beat City. There’s no point trying to out-attack/possession them. As long as we can play some good football against the smaller teams, like we have been recently, then there’s no issues. Plus, I felt like today we managed to avoid relying on City missing their chances, like we had in recent wins against them.

Ole’s subs were almost right, I just felt like James should have been off before Martial. He rectified it by putting Ighalo on, who managed to hold the ball up well. If we can get a top quality right sided attacker the team will have so much more balance.

Elated with that game and performance.

Sometimes our forwards really lack decision-making. Two times on break-aways, Fernandes found himself alone approaching the penalty spot and on both occasions, Martial and James completely lost their minds! We would have emphatically beaten them today much earlier but for some very frustrating decision-making.

That apart, everyone's effort was outstanding in general. Martial showed hustle off-ball, James kept running, Fred was immense, defence was solid and Fernandes was very unlucky to not have at least a goal to his name.

Big credit to Ighalo when he came on. Those few minutes he was on the field were as impressive as I've seen from a forward. I'd love him to start from this point on. He deserves it.

McSauce is so influential to this team. Top goal.

Beautiful stuff. 2nd half was edgy as feck but the onslaught never reached our goal. Delighted!

Hmm.
Who would you drop. Matic, Fred. Both playing extremely well and working very hard.
Big decision that.
Neither. Feck Pogba, overrated poser. I do want to see Rashford back. Oddly his injury has given Martial space and a new dimension.

We are looking strong defensively. If we get the personnel right up top with a few signings and some better decision making we are definitely heading in the right direction.

Was looking for a white text but Wow, some of us can't enjoy a win, especially one so much needed as this.
How many time did we have all the possession have have Shite finishing. Today City couldn't get past us, they 78% was far far from dominance than it was getting thwarted phase after phase by our defense.
I really feel sorry for you, that you can't smile or think that our manager can't smile.

Great result. That looks like the most defensively secure system for the big games. We're obviously pretty short on quality in midfield and attack, but the foundations of a decent side are there (a solid back line).

Excellent team performance with several standout individual performances, it was a shame we couldn't capitalize in the first half and get that second goal as we were all over them. Second half we invited a bit too much pressure on in the last 20 minutes, but overall it was good stuff.

City were like a a bad day on a porn set on gangbang day, lots of balls but sterile.

Don't disagree with any of that.
If Pogba wants to be a Manchester United player and graft as hard as the rest of the team then fine.

But, as the rest have shown, it takes a lot more than just ability alone to deserve a first team place.

Brilliant result, brilliant performance.

One thing to point, youth and all is good but you need experience too, Ighalo showed that when he came on. His 5 min cameo was great. Truly chuffed with the performance, way to go Ole!

They're whinging at their recruitment. The audacity.
Its hilarious when City fans and the media excuse their poor performances on the thinness of their backline, ignoring that they've spent about half a billion on it in the last 4 years

I think he was joking, but without white letters.

Oles gonna squash ya!!!

Im pleased with that. The only downer is it hastens the scousers victory party but nowt to be done about that now. 2 or 3 quality additions and we might actually be on the cusp of something good :)

On the way home from the match... WHAT A feckING ATMOSPHERE that was!

Fred has his worst game in a while but hamstrung by the yellow for diving. Ighalo should have come on earlier cause his hold up play was great.

Bruno... what a man!!! Was everywhere and constantly a threat. Finally McT with a great goal that he could very easily have snatched at.

fecking get in!!!

Good post and that bolded part is key. Plenty of flaws to iron out yet, but the attitude and desire seems to be there so if we can cut those flaws and brainfarts we might start to look like a force again

Great day, Ole slowly turning things around. Let's see what happens for the rest of the season.

Biggest thing.. Bruno Fernandes has completely transformed MUFC. Pogba did not and does not have nearly the same effect. No doubting Pogba has his brilliant moments, and probably a higher ceiling than Bruno, but he doesn't have the same character and desire to lift the whole team up.

Good on ya. Would have loved to be there today. Funny, but Fred was great on TV :). Yeah, Ighalo was good when he came on. I agree with all the rest. Enjoy your evening, mate.
