We were the better team. Things are moving in the right direction.

Proper yawn fest. But at least we looked solid everywhere apart from up front.

City are really sht. That what I took from the game. How they are 5th is beyond me

I think we're alright at everything except scoring goals.

Decent in general play. But no chance of winning the Europa with this lack of goal threat. Bruno can't do it alone. The whole season could have been so different with even just a half competent striker to use.

I actually thought we were quite good.

Neville seemed to think we were just nullifying City most of the time, but we looked pretty good going forward until it we needed to put it in the net,

City did next to nothing in attack all game, De Bruyne in particular was dreadful.

Agains Newcastle, can we please see:

- Bruno playing alongside Ugarte as #8. He was pretty good in that role this season
- Mount and Zirkzee #10s, Garnacho benched
- Chido leading the line

We are not fighting for much in the league, and we need to try something different
Agree, Garnacho looked a little toothless second half and a couple of basic errors. Mount looked hungry and looks after the ball well, and judging by form at Chelsea can play that final clinical pass we need. I can’t see what Hojland has done to retain his place in the next game. Not losing anything by trying Chido.

The last 20 mins was encouraging, but only from a defensive point of view and managing to string together cohesive passages of play. In context of an interminably failing front line and a dire season, I’m clinging to whatever slivers of encouragement I can find.

Drivel. Casemiro stood out, did a good job in the middle and won a lot of balls, unfortunately our forward line is so shite they messed up too often.

Garna looks like a lad in decline, unfortunately we can't sideline for a few games while he gets his mojo back.

If you aren't seeing the massive structural and effort level improvements in our last ten matches then you are one of those who judges everything by the scoreline.

Very very encouraged by the recent performances

From what I saw I thought we were the more dominant team and could finally see some cohesive patterns of play. With some added firepower we’d start to turn these performances into wins.

We were decent but not having a striker is costing us a lot of points

Yep it was really frustrating. We did really well to keep City non-existent but Sky just wanted to talk about how poor the game was. Keane is singing the same song right now - if we attack in the way they are expecting today then City roll us over. It was a solid, disciplined performance let down by the fact that we can’t really attack.

The two things we were lacking is obviously a cutting edge up front, we sometimes have 2 or 3 players on a break and I have no confidence in them making anything out of it.

I also thought we were very sloppy at times with our passing and on the ball, a theme we have seen all season, and I think a team that are on their game punish us for it.

Cagey, a little bit sloppy, but some moments of excitement. Just lacked finishing—usual story. We’d probably feel differently if we had the occasion of a title race. And we’re missing creative players, dribblers, unpredictability in a good way.

I recall some ugly games like this back in Fergie days, where we’d be happy with a hard fought point depending on context, or 3 points with one or two moments of magic at the end. Obvious difference is the season is shit, nothing to play for in the League, so I get the frustration. But we still hurt City’s top 4 chance, and Liverpool still lost to Fulham. No additional injuries and more players back from injury.

Dull. Signs of improvement but God knows we need to upgrade our toothless strikers.

City are a shadow of what they were.

Hopefully more exciting Thursday in Europa League

I thought the draw was probably the fair result. For us, it’s another decent performance where we’ve played reasonably well in defence and midfield but shown very little quality in attack. Unfortunately that is the aim of the game and we’d have won today if we had that quality up front, however we didn’t and will continue to find it hard to win games. However, Amorim has clearly started to move the team in the right direction, the performances are definitely better than a few months ago.

He's not wrong, that was exactly what the gameplan was and we executed it pretty well

We're poor in final third. First half Dalot sent in a great cross but Garnacho failed to take advantage of it. Later on Dorgu was in clear situation but probably decided not to shoot with Bernardo Silva just behind him. Second half City were better until 70th minute and then we had some promising attacks but ultimately (unsurprisingly) failed to score. We got better with Zirkzee and Mount on the pitch instead of Hojlund and Ugarte.

Another solid performance against a good side (as bad as City have been this season) and a promising performance in some ways as well. We were bit better all in all but it's definitely a 0-0 draw. One more point and hopefully over last 7 games we'll pick up a decent amount of points to end the season in a positive way. Europa obviously priority.

Not a bad performance considering where we've been.. The system seems set and players know their duties and understand the coach's philosophy, now we just need to plug the gaps in attack with a couple of good signings and we're good to go. This vindicats RA's decision to implement the system from the ward go, and spend the preseason working on drills and fine tune the team ready for the next season.

The comments are shocking really. Think we played pretty well and should habe won the game. But its clear we need someone instead of Garnacho and a striker that would completely change the results of such games. Garnacho needs to be sold as soon as possible, horrible player really. How often this season has he cut in from the left and tried to shoot with his right foot? Like 150 times? And scored like 1 or 2

But we are clearly improving and luckily players are coming back from injury.

Well, we defended well as a team, City never looked that dangerous, thats good.
I think we caused them more problems then vice versa, thats good.

But, for the love of soft but firm tits, how can we not have more firepower up front??? Only time my body leans forward is when Bruno gets the ball in the box.

We played pretty well and just barely deserved the win.

I don't know how we can ever win consistently with Garnacho and Hojlund leading our attack. Both are just so underwhelming and kill so many offensive moves.

I was really hoping Ugarte would grow into a formidable, controlling defensive midfielder. The kind of midfielder everyone want to pass to and the kind that knows when to slow and speed up a match. These past two months have shown he just is not that player. He is still good and can play a part, but it means we still need midfielders.

Find it odd that United seem to be getting most of the flack after that game. Think they were the better team against a better squad of players in a drab affair

I second that. Since our PL matches are meaningless, Amorim should experiment a bit to help with our EL matches and next year.

Can be happy with the clean sheet. Better attackers and we win that easily

What a meh game of football. We were okay I guess, and had the better chances but still in truth never looked like scoring. Disappointing derby. Hopefully no injuries or anything so that we can focus on Thursday which is the make or break game really.

ABUs in tears over that. Wanted us to get hammered, instead we look better than city so they claim to be delighted at 0-0 because it helps Villa and Newcastle...
