I'd have taken a draw at the start. But now I'm pissed. We're too poor in too many areas. An average forward and an average keeper and we win that. Second leg start Bruno at CM and Mainoo at AM and Onana on the bench.

Would have took a draw before the game but the way they got the draw is unbelievable. Should have won this and now there’s pressure to win next week

Hopefully Amorim takes the blame by publicly stating it's his fault we didn't win as he played Onana who isn't any good and will never play again for the club.

That's what should happen
Yeah he's not going to do that because he's not insane

The second is harsh to put on him. Amorim puts the worst defender (Lindelof) on and immediately got beated.

Lyon looked extremely bad and every other English team would have won with a couple of goals.

Onana should keep his comments to himself unless he can back them to an excellent degree on the pitch. Made himself look like a clown.

Definitely more. I don't blame him for the 2nd goal tonight though.

Why not? Any decent keeper with an ounce of self respect would blame themself for not doing better there.

Exactly this.

Who bought that plum? On a more positive note, JZ deserves a run now, Mainoo looked decent, as did Mount. Yoro was excellent and Bruno ran his socks off. Would have taken 2-2 before the game, but gutted that two howlers caused us the game.

Bittersweet result. A 2 all draw away is a really good result to take away with us back to Old Trafford. Lyon are a very good side and their home crowd were right behind them so to come away with a draw is great for us. But to have the win in extra time and to lose it feels deflating, almost feels like a loss. Has Onana let us down tonight? Probably with the first goal, 2nd was more difficult to catch but the media spotlight will be on him.

We’ve given ourselves a good chance at home but we need a top performance to see them off. They missed a lot of chances tonight and we need to do better at keeping them away from our goal.

If you're in that dressing room tonight you surely have to rip Onana a new one. The comments before the game were stupid enough IF he hadn't had a howler, but we all knew he'd throw at least one into his own net.

Fecking overachiever pulls out two.

Would have taken a draw at the start of the game. Annoyed that our goalie gave them 2 goals when we should have been coming away with a good win.

Right, ship Casemiro, Lindelof and Onana after that series of events. Each one had a WTF moment.

Casemiro to begin with, what the feck was that

Lindelof getting man handled by a 40yo Lacazette

Onana is done

Onana should be finished at this club. Sorry but don’t come into a European game chatting shite about your opponent and then turn in yet another performance like that.

It wasn't the best of performances but we were seconds from a historic win. Threw it away again.

Onana is a big part of the problem but he's not the only reason that, once again, we couldn't maintain a lead for five minutes.
His terrible handling cost us the game.

I think its a fair result. Both teams had a few bits of good play and several chances that were missed. Up until the Cherki goal at the end Lyon's finishing had simply been worse than Utd's, but getting the game back to 2-2 with Lyon having 16 attempts and us 13, it was about right.

Yoro very good game and goal, Mazraoui defended well. Dorgu had some moments going forward down the left, he had a good cross that Garnacho missed the chance from but he also had a few sticky moments defensively, a couple of great balls from Fernandes and Zirzkee with a good cameo and able to finish a Bruno cross with his head.

What do Onana and Hojlund actually do in training that makes the manager pick them? It's like playing with 9 men.

The 23/24 summer window destroyed our club didn't it? Thanks Ten Hag.

These ridiculous, absolutely basic mistakes literally could cost us Europe next season. Which will hit us in the transfer market and feck knows what else.

Would have taken a draw at the start of the game. Annoyed that our goalie gave them 2 goals when we should have been coming away with a good win.

The second goal was a team error really, everyone relaxed far too much after Mainoo took a yellow to prevent Lyon breaking, by the time anyone started taking the attack seriously they were in our box.

Onana parrying the ball into danger is poor from him (although not surprising), but they should never have been allowed to get into the position to get the shot off.

Can't have Onana starting the next leg, if it wasn't for him I feel we would have won comfortably

a competent keeper and forward line next week and we'll win

but feck me this feels like a loss
