They knew how to manage the game situation, con the referee way better than us.

Also they were better tactically drilled and had difference makers in key areas.

We were just a 2nd best team. Reality check.

Really disappointed to lose. Ref and injuries screwed us over. PSG had done nothing going forward until Martial and Lingard got injured and they got free reign to attack us down the flanks.

Squad depth was unfortunately exposed.

The overconfidence before the match was staggering.

Outclassed by a bunch of cheating shites who had the backing of a bent referee.

Still the second leg to go but we clearly need investment.

Ref couldn't wait to get his cards out except the times where Kimpembe made two fouls on a booking. Prick.

Having the likes of Ashley Young at RB will cost you against the top sides.

Not too bothered about this as it shows the board we need 3-4 good signings in the summer to compete at the top table.

Play the kids in the second leg and concentrate on getting that top 4 secured.

We aren't half as good as some think. Had some easy fixtures. This is a reality check. We lack quality. Ole has been schooled today as well. No hard feelings though. Tuchel is class.
That's ok. He will learn. No fault with Ole. Set up the team well and the Matic defensive mistake cost us dearly.

Better team won. Yes the ref was shit but it wouldn't have mattered even if we would have had a good one they were just to good for us.

Second half was poor, I think PSG capitalised greatly with the removal of Martial & Lingaard. They knew they could be less concerned with the pace of the attack. Sanchez is finished. Plus no Pogba in the second leg, it’s looking grim. But we’ve still got something to play for if we can score early in Paris.

You can lose any game to a team with quality like they have but to not even threaten their goal at home was pathetic. They conceded chances and goals for fun in all their big away games this season yet we didn't even make Buffon do anything.

Crap atmosphere, crap performance.

Very disappointing, never troubled Buffon, don't move quickly enough in midfield and looked naive up front and it got worse once Mata and Sanchez came on, zero depth.

The cnut that scored their first goal should not have been on the pitch though, he had 3 yellow card offenses before then. Di Maria and Dani Alves still both complete thundercunts and the ref was useless.

The tie is over and if Lingard and Martial are out for a signifigant amount of time we are in trouble in the league as well.

A deflating defeat, but truth is this is where we are about now. A thin squad means an off day here and an injury or two there and we’re not remotely the same team.

Think there was also a lot of over confidence about PSG given their injuries. Despite missing some key players, they’re just way more experienced than we are. They haven’t really got that far in the competition, but we’ve played 2 knockout ties in 5 years. For players like Rashford, Martial and Lingard, this is still new territory. Feels rather like the mid 90s when we’d go into European games full of confidence and streetwise teams would just do a job on us.

Haven’t seen anything that makes me think we’ll turn it around second leg, sadly. Think this is just one to take on the chin and mark down as part of the learning curve for this group of players.

Horrible subs by Ole.

I have no idea why so much of our game flowed through Young/Herrera in right flank when we had Pogba on left? Shaw was abysmal.

Sanchez and Mata should never be on pitch on same time. In fact both should never be on pitch ever again.

Too nice. Should have gone at them with pace right from the off. Respected them way too much tonight.

Even first half. Injuries and the Kimpembe decision ruined us to be fair. We aren’t ready though but might have nicked a draw if Martial and Lingard stayed on AND Kimpembe went off. The run comes to an end and hopefully we show good fight and bounce back. The big teams will expose our weaknesses and it’s good for the manager because he knows what to improve on. Pretty shit but I was ready for a loss.

The squad is extremely thin. Once we lost both Lingard and Martial it was all over.

Our fullbacks are trash going forward and less said about Sanchez and Mata the better.

We absolutely need better fullbacks more than CBs and an upgrade on Matic. I hope I never have to see Sanchez play again. Out of his depth today.

Clearly out classed.

That said, PSG could easily have been down to 10 men before half time, and the two injuries destroyed any game we had.

We were up against possibly the most expensive team assembled in history, so even with injuries, we were up against it.

Move on now, pick ourselves up for the domestic fight

Reality check! The second leg is now just a formality. They were better even before the injuries in all honesty. 2 injuries and a red, really sums up our night. I now only hope martial and Lingard are fit for the weekend

Meh, two thirds of our attack getting injured before half time wasn't ideal. Kimpembe scoring when he should have been sent off is frustrating, otherwise it was a decent performance by a decent team, they were very strong defensively.

I struggle to feel too gutted honestly, Champions League is a bit of a pipe dream this season.

That was like a slow death. The ref was atrocious.

How does PSG's defender survive one yellow and at least two other clear cynical fouls before he scores? Then Pogba's second yellow was a high challenge, so not really too much to complain about that.

Hope Martial and Lingard aren't too bad in their injuries.

Men against boys there. We have A LOT of improving to do before we're ready to compete in the CL. We're at least a couple years away, providing we get our signings right.

People who are saying we got schooled need to give their heads a fecking wobble, fact of the matter is both teams looked disjointed in attack. But goals change games and they got a goal from a player who should have been sent off. And we lost more than half our starting attack to injury within 45 mins

Thats just bad luck not getting schooled.

Whats boiling my piss is that no one on BT commentary has mentioned that their goalscorer should have been off and just loving the oppurtunity to slate us again, especially mcmanaman.

decent first half but we were quite tense in our play. mata sub was a mistake as we needed pace to counter and Lukaku should have come at HT.

Better team won.

Ref is a dickhead who falls for every scream/dive.

Alves and Di Maria are dickheads.

I'm done with Sanchez. Genuienly lost my temper and my patience with him now. I'd say yes to loaning him to another club and paying his wages. Like a bug on a shit that won't go away.

Pogba showing his immaturity but meh, he's been good the last 2 months.

Mata useless as usual.

Injuries changed the game.

We need depth going forward because those three subs aren’t CL quality.

This ref had shown 86 yellows in the 17 games prior to this one. :houllier:

These are the same players as before, we know what they're capable of. Ole is not a magician.
Sure, they upped their effort for a bit after Mourinho but they won't suddenly become what they aren't.

We're going back to the level we know.

Pogba very silly. Shaw even sillier. Overall very poor performance and a shame that Oles run has come to such a shuddering end.
Couple of key injuries now as well which will affect the next few matches.
The ghost of Jose got revenge tonight.

We're in big trouble if Martial and Lingard are out for a while.

Bad night all round, we got a reality check and also lost martial and lingard to injury.
Best team won, we were never in the game, never looked threatening in attack and our defence couldnt cope with PSG, the crowd were quiet too, like they were waiting for the inevitable. Not enjoyable to watch at all.

Better side won. First goalscorer shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Poor performance. Oles about to get his first hairdryer out. He looked furious.
