Losing to Comeback Winning!
:nervous:Mourinho pissing in his pants scared versus top team Southampton.

Problem: Omg, I only have one CB (Rojowho? and Matic is shit but he must play).
Solution: Time to park the bus, low defense line, 5 defenders and 3 CDMs, shut up Pogba, go defend deep.
Result: Matic shit block one goal conceded, and then we concede another from free kick.

How about a normal lineup and just go attacking, it's Southampton after all?
Oh wait we don't have any identity, and don't underestimate that relegation team! They can beat us so instead we should underestimate ourselves and shut up shop. We only have one CB so against this relegation team, we need to play cautiously.

Wonderful job, plenty of excuses cards for Mourinho to play later.

We would be no worse off he is out of his depth in the premiership, he’s a poser no bottle , no desire , no fight only cares about himself I cannot wait for him to go he sums up all that is wrong with modern day football
Wouldn't say he's out of his depth. If he was turning out for city every week you'd see a different player. Why? because he'd have players around him that are at his level. He's our only player who can create anything on the pitch. He makes things happen but loses his motivation when players like Lukaku give the ball away due to his shocking first touch skills.

Good point away against one of our relegation rivals :p
I wouldn't jest. Three to four months down the line this might be reality.

This is the worst team in the post-SAF era.
Id go further and say its the most insipid, passionless team Ive ever seen playing in a United shirt, and the football they produce is total dross. Top 4 by new year? We'll be fortunate to be in the top 12.

We've now come to the stage when we even look uncomfortable doing side passes to one another. Pogba is the only player we have who has confidence in himself and he's getting stick for that!

And that's exactly how he manages to fool everyone and get support. Yes, even people who know nothing about football can see we are too slow. However that's a big part of his job. I just cannot understand how can he complain we are too slow when he picks a team like today? Players need to be COACHED to move, make themselves open to receive the ball. You cannot play fast football when no one is moving and there are 0 options to pass the ball. You can't just be like "Guys, play fast please.". There needs to be a proper shape and 99% of the time we just look completely lost and uncoached on the pitch.
how is it his fault Pogba is a total twat? and how can that twat be called world class?

Maybe Herrera should be playing the Matic role all the time. He has shown he can do it, but our idiot of a manager had to bring his boy Matic in. Pogba really needs to take a serious look at himself. Thank goodness Young will be suspended.
I'd love it i Herrera could do that. Not sure his is capable of it week in, week out. Mind five minutes of it would be better than Matic at the moment!

This match has made me turn on José a bit, simply because I don't think we/he ever actually tried to win this game against a team that was 19th in the Premier League. I cannot fathom how he thought during that second half that we were ever in the ascendancy enough to warrant making like-for-like changes. Sure, maybe the injuries to Shaw, Rashford, and Lukaku were bad enough, but to me, it looked like all of them could've continued and he could have changed McTominay or Matic for one of the attacking subs (Martial/Lingard/Mata). It was as if getting back to 2-2 was job done and we saw the game out. Madness.

Arsenal up next and I can't see how we win that game, the top four race is pretty much already over for us if we fail to win.

That second half was beyond embarrassing. We literally showed no desire to go win the match.

I am not the Pogba's biggest fan to say the least but is there a single player in the team that plays consistently well? Every single player looks clueless on the pitch and have no idea what they are supposed to do when we have a possession. It just screams of lack of any attacking coaching whatsoever, we go to games with the mentality of NOT TO LOSE and somehow scrap a goal. When we eventually concede a goal we throw more men forward and suddenly we look dangerous. Equalise and we sit back again. It's tactics.

I had a feeling we wouldn't score again after the 2-2. The seems unable to play/totally clueless when we need to be proactive and score goals . It was better to stay 2-0 down or 2-1 down as stupid as it sounds.

I was out in the pub watching that with an Everton fan and various other oppos. It was honestly embarrassing, they can't believe how bad we are and I have no explanation for the decisions being made by players, manager and board.

yes but Pogba was supposed to be world class. we stlil get told on here that he must be because he won a world cup and was (supposedly) brilliant in thqat competition. None of which I agree with. he slows the game down so much that he makes veron and the late ray wilkins (nicknamed the crab while he was at OT) look like ronaldo and giggs rolled into one. he is utter crap. people say Jose is only interested in himself well the same is clearly true of this pri-madonna. nine touches (and loses the ball) when one or two will do

Back row. Singing.
Starting line-up consisting of McTominay, Matic, Fellaini, Young, Lukaku etc. is insulting.

Why don't we play Pereira, Fred, Mata, Chong are we allergic to skill? This is like some communist regime where the intelligent are shot and the dumb villagers are made directors and politicians.
Agree with all those players bar Chong.

Surely Fred needs to play. It’s blatantly obvious that we need a player in midfield who can pass the ball quickly and accurately to a player in a better position than him. He looks like he’s willing to put his foot in as well.

Not totally sold on Pereria but again, surely it’s worth a risk now. We’ve got to try something different.

It’s obvious that we’ve got defensive problems but trying to grind out results to avoid conceding goals just isn’t working. If we were winning games, fair enough but we’re not winning.

If he put a bit more quality into the team in an attacking sense and we lost, I’d be disappointed but I would hold my hands up and say fair play, he’s tried something different.

The defensive problems we have is because Matic has been piss poor this whole season. He just escorts the opposition to our penalty box. Put a better defensive midfield player and get better tactics and coaching and this defense is good enough to play against most teams in the PL.

The CB's have been piss poor, I agree about Matic but there is more to it. We haven't got a strong pairing. We need better team selection, tactics, energy in the middle, rotation and width. We need a leader at the back, it's not down to one player being stale. The entire side looks finished under this manager.

I usually rant about Mourinho, but this match I really can't blame him that much. The way the players defended on Southampton's first goal was a joke. We lacked agressivity so much. There is no manager in the world who can avoid brain freezes.

How the hell can you criticise Pogba when nobody moves for him to pass to? No wonder he takes an extra touch or two. The movement is non-existent. Rashford played OK, but could not finish a good dinner. His finishing is dreadful, shouldn't be near the starting XI. Why bench Martial? FFS. This is all on Mourinho. A shambles of a midfield, nay team selection in general. We looked so much better without Lukaku. Matic is just......done. Playing midfielders at CB, not one but two. Appalling. Leave now, my patience has gone. Hopefully whoever comes in will build a team around Pogba to get the best out of him. There's only one virus Jose and it's you.
