Wrong match setup by Ole. With Mason and Pogba from first minute we would have won this. Ole needs to grow a pair and play our most talented players.
Anyway not bad result.

Pogba and Greewood should start.

Daniel James should not play any game besides when we are playing on the counter and the other team leaves space at the back, so so poor.

Both sides looked poor I thought, which was to be expected I guess. Happy enough not to lose.

All things considered it was a good effort from the lads.

Definite lack of match sharpness and fitness (from both sides).

Felt like we edged it in terms of dominance, especially when Pogba and Greenwood came on. Changed us entirely. Got off two players (Fred and James) who were constantly giving the ball away under pressure and making easy moves break down. Mctominay was guilty of this too, but once Pogba came on, he looked much more assured and was able to find more space and time.

Rashford and Martial were well off the pace. Several chances missed. Some easy ones for Martial, who has gone back to his static self. He needs to move more and really improve his hold up play if he is to make it here.

Greenwood was excellent. Almost won it for us in the end. I would have bet the house on it, had we not had a 4-5 month layoff.

Outside of the horrible error by Maguire (and DDG) I thought we were decent in our first match back. We just have to build and continue to improve. So much potential in this team.

Bruno and Pogba absolutely running the show in those 30 minutes they were together.

Terrible team selection cost us, if Pogba started I’m sure we would have won. James and McTominay need to spend more time on the bench.

Pogba and Bruno should make us frightening. We just need to get a coach who's clever enough to make it work

Poorly played game of football. Pogba who's barely played in 12 months looked decent and played well. That's about it for the 29 players that played.

One team tried to win the game but didn't have enough quality to do so. Same old United really but a less match fit one.

Another example of why we won’t be winning anything all the time Solskjaer is manager.

He needs to stop being so fecking cowardly with his team selections and substitutions. He reacts far far too slow to every single in game situation.

No need for Sancho anymore. Guendia or Traore, shift James to the left, Greenwood to rotate with said Guendia or Traore, and need to buy another CM because McTominay isn't good enough to pair with Fred as his passing and composure is poor still when going forward. If you can combine Matic and McTominay, that would allow Bruno and Pogba to play together or 3 at the back.

Spurs were gone after 60 mins, Utd clearly looked in superior condition, speaks well for how well prepared they have been. Great impact from Pogba, the potential of he and Bruno is huge. Needed a lot more from Martial, James and Rashford.going forward.

Away to Spurs, we played well enough. They played like they were scared. There was never a period in the game where they were on top really, which is unusual to see, especially at their ground.

We basically played with 8 men till James, Martial and Lindelof were subbed off.

James shouldn't be starting games when his pace would be far more useful in testing tired defences.

Martial's a joke and depending on him for goals is just stupid, we need an upgrade on him.

Lindelof does his usual disappearing act where he basically does nothing all game but avoid the ball. Joke of a player.

Dave seems to be still on wfh mood.

Ole making the same mistakes he did before Bruno, not really making a case that he deserves to stay on.

Decent result, first game for 3 months but some of the comments by arm chair managers in the match day thread were astonishing embarrassing.

DDG + Maguire blunders. Spurs did feck all beyond that, should've won really.

Should've brought Pogba and Greenwood at HT but Ole is always too slow at making those subs.

There's no way anyone could fault Ole for his starting 11, however coming next game Greenwood, Matic, and Pogba deserve to be starters.

The pauses in the middle of half need to be scrapped when it's like 15c outside, ridiculous addition that completely changes the game.

First half, exactly the type of game we struggle in. Spurs deep and solid and happy to play us on the break. Poor goal to concede shaw Maguire and degea at fault. Spurs opened us up a couple of times after the goal with Relative ease.

2nd half the introduction of Pogba and Greenwood made a huge difference and we looked a real threat And an exciting attacking force.

Greenwood is a real ltalent and far better footballer than James.
Pogba looks class again. Bruno MOTM.

great finish To the match didnt want it to end

Looked beaten at 1-0, Ole needs a rethink in these last eight games. From what we’ve seen so far it’s going to be low tempo games with lots of defending deep. We can’t set up to hit on the break, don’t need Fred and Mctominay and James shouldn’t be starting.

Longer term the lack of attacking ineptitude of our fullbacks is a big problem.

Nothing much changed, subs are still late as ever, seems that never gonna change with Ole. One point, move onto next game.

It would be silly to make any judgements on the back of this game after 3 months downtime in front of an empty stadium, but I feel fairly confident in saying that James and Martial should not be a starting line up for a long time. Greenwood and Ighalo all the way.

The rest of the team all looked reasonably good, love Keano but his rant about De Gea was a bit daft.

I thought Spurs played well. Yeah it looked like dog shite but that was the plan. Typical Mourinho tactics. Shut us out, hope for a fluky goal. Does it every time. De Gea was to blame for me. Should have saved that easily. Ole just reacts too slowly but to be fair the strikers looked like they lacked a bit of sharpness. Even Greenwood who is usually deadly. So on another day it might have worked. Still should have changed it sooner

First game back after 4 months was always going to be a test, so I'm not too disheartened by a draw. Disappointed with De Gea's flap, although Maguire was awful in that too.

Daniel James' place in the first XI is under serious threat. Regardless of whether we can get Sancho, Greenwood is showing more than him right now.

Good to see Pogba and Fernandes playing together. You could question the decision not to start Pogba, but i completely understand. Fred has probably been our best player this season and even in a relatively meh performance, McTominay did well defensively.

Frustrating, but a point away in our "on paper" hardest match left isn't the end of the world. Should have had more out of it, but Lloris and Sissoko were immense tonight.

Though Shaw and Fernandes had great games, Pogba completely changed it though when he came on, he's ridiculous. No sign at all that he's been out for so long

Also, how did Spurs come out of that without a single card? Still the masters of Pottechinos tactical fouling

It’s obvious to see Greenwood is twice the player James is. He needs to play on the right surely.

I like both Fred and McTom but Pogba also has to start.

1-1 away at Spurs is a good result any way you look at it, so no complaints there.
The Spurs of last year that got to the CL final, certainly.

The Spurs of this year, who prior to COVID were on a shocking run of form - definitely not.

Two massive points dropped.

Kind of what you expected considering we're being forced to play half fit glorified friendlies to keep the league's bank manager happy. We would never concede that goal in a normal season.

Positive second half. On the balance of play we deserved 3 points. Awful from De Gea and Maguire for the goal.

Not the worst result but not enough for securing the 4th place. Would have been great to take 3 point off this game. We could have done it, so - still a disappointment, but could easily been worse
