Only if you ignore that fact that Spurs are awful.
It's still tough to travel away and they got well up for it at the 80ish minute mark when their subs started making their mark on the game.

Like it or not, they're level on points with us despite them being average all season, so we know they're jammy (as we saw with both their goals today).

That’s four points lost from winning positions in the last two games. Unacceptable. I don’t know what goes on at half time but we were pants again today in the second half. Thought Bruno had another off day and he should have been hooked.

So frustrating letting the game drift in the second half like that, versus a team that didn't really want to score either. But good to at least get a draw. Sesko needed.

A lot more aggression, Ugarte just makes us worse every single time he comes on the pitch it's outstanding.

Nah wasn't luck to grab a last minute header to secure a draw against one of the most pitiful teams we have played against all season. But sure cheer, we are definitely going in the right direction. All is well!! Woohoo! Pass me another cup of that drink everyone's on.
Jesus. What a tiring attitude. Can't imagine ever wanting to be around you when the football is on

The point is it shouldn’t be so tough when your opponents are abject and you’ve had no midweek games.

Anyone else notice whether Ugarte was just slow to come out or something had happened that kept him back, meaning that he played Richarlison onside for the Spurs second?

Very pleased with the equaliser as I would've been fuming to lose in the way it looked like we would have. It was about far. We can't control games for long periods so we end inviting too much pressure to win in games like that away from home consistently.

Another one of those - we would have lost it last season-games

Lammens, De Ligt, Yoro, Shaw, Maguire, Amad, Casemiro, Bruno, Mbuemo, Mount and Cunha.

Thats 11 players in the squad with the requisite quality and physicality to play consistently in this league, in this system. Some of those cant play 90 minutes. And you cant make a balanced team out of it.

Its a big problem that every week we get wobbly when subs start happening.

On the game. They are rubbish. And thats their 3rd deflected goal in a row against us. Jammy. They deserved that bubble pop at the end the tin pot mugs.

We didn't do much but did more than Spurs and 1-0 wasn't unfair result. However, 2nd half was really poor and we HAD to get second goal to win it. Of course we didn't and deserved what happened later. De Ligt late goal makes it bearable because I'd be sick if we lost again to this Spurs side. Not being able to beat them for years now is bad enough.

Spurs were wasteful with their efforts on goal. They did fine until that point and a lot more than us. They just didnt have a cutting edge until the last section of the match so we hung on until they got their act together with finishing some chances

This team have the mentality to come back from setbacks not on the other hand, our mentality when in the lead is really poor. Every time we've been ahead early, we've tried to sit on the lead and play purely on the counter, and almost always, reduce our intensity which results in us conceding a goal.

Whenever we actually attack with purpose, we tend to score. It's infuriating that we don't do it more.

Sesko - unsure where I stand with him, started slow, started getting into the swing of things but I feel the noise of the past two weeks have sent him back into his shell. If I were Amorim, I'd give Zirkzee more time (not that he looks like he'll pull any trees but at least you know what he'll give us in the build up).

Šeško has so slow reactios. Look like EPL is too fast for him. Cunha was frustrating to watch. Worst Spur team I have seen in a while.

Right fecked off with that draw, where was that Spurs team last week against Chelsea, bloody typical

He was pushed in by a Spurs-player - couldn't have really have done much about that

It's also 2 gained from losing positions, away from home. It's disappointing but there's still a lot of work to do, and we have to take the good with the bad for now

Not good enough.

This Spurs team isn't great and had a game midweek, which should've given us a big advantage. If don't start scoring more goals and produce a consistent threat throughout the game, we will never be able to kill teams off. We also barely get any value out of our wingbacks besides Amad and far too often we aren't decisive in the last third. The only player I have any confidence in is Mbeumo. The rest either constantly make the wrong decisions, or lack any sort of composure. Just incredibly frustrating.

The midfield is also a mess. Once Casemiro goes off we always drop a level.

Uh huh. If you're just going to whine and bitch about every single thing then you can follow through with your "taking my ball and going home" pathetic shite and simply bolt.

Jesus. What a tiring attitude. Can't imagine ever wanting to be around you when the football is on
Celebrating a last minute draw when it should have been a comfortable win, away from home to go second no less. How the standards have fallen. But I will take my leave. Go ahead, cheer and may these good times continue!

Spurs were nowhere, we had that game. For Van de Ven to make that tackle was superb, another day that’s a goal for us. Both went against us at that moment. There is an element of luck involved, such is the game.
At absolutely no point did we "have that game", no. We ceded all control in the second half yet again.

Fair result, we were the better team in the 1st half but lost our way after all those subs. Spurs were all over us for the last 20 minutes.
Amazing tackle on sesko who was about to score, cant blame him there i suppose but he needs to show more aggression.
Two great stops by lammens.

Until their goal it was a fantastic away performance

I checked some random pages of the match day thread just now and think I was watching a different game

Showed same frailties when they scored but how things turned out it’s now a great point

Replacing Casemiro will be so huge. We crumble each time he gets subbed. Ugarte, Mainoo are just not the players to keep balance.

Dorgu is a terrible buy. He has no ball control and loses the ball everytime in a tight space. How is Amass doing on loan? We desperately need a LWB and CDM in the summer.

The point is it shouldn’t be so tough when your opponents are abject and you’ve had no midweek games.
They were abject for 80 minutes but then turned it on after Casemiro was subbed off and Sesko went down. I think it was poor management from Amorim to take off Dorgu for Dalot (since we could've used that sub for Sesko), but I'm not absolutely gutted about dropping 2 points. It's still progress from last season.

Think Casemiro won’t be able to play full 90
Cunha took too long and I am concerned with sesko ability now, hope not a serious injury
He played 2 full 90s within 4 days for Brazil a mere 3 weeks ago, I don’t buy it. Sure, his intensity might drop but there’s no reason he can’t last 20 more mins if we pack the midfield and let him drop as the deepest midfielder.

Point away to Spurs. I'd have probably taken it before the game but today Spurs were there for the taking. They don't have too many players to be frightened of we really should have gone for it more. What are these second half performances though. We were professional and crisp enough first half, second half we just invited Spurs onto us and it looked like Spurs didn't even want to go after us, we simply bent over for them. Amorim needs to learn quicker, I genuinely do believe he's learning more about the league but he's going to have to do something in relation to our concentration for 90 minutes. De Ligt saved us today like Amad last week so at least we don't fully throw in the towel anymore. But we should not have been in the position in either this game or the Forest game where we need end game equalisers when you consider how the opposition was playing against us. I need to see more from this team but I can see positives each game which keeps me from losing the plot at this team.

We’d have won that game by half time with a more positive team selection.

Need a DM in January if we want European football. Casemiro fades after an hour every game.

Frustrated we didn’t close it out. Better to draw than to lose. So there are some positives.

Was poor in the second half.

Useless

Abdolute shite yet again, 1-0 up and find themseleves 2 - 1 down for the second week running, never learn, all too predictable...team full of losers, managed by one

These past 2 draws where we squandered a chance to be second reminds me of those frustrating draws in Mourinho's first season. We'd go ahead, and not put the game to bed. Undecided if this is a positive or negative sign.

Still feels like a loss. Would feel worse if I’d run around with my shirt off though so could be worse.

Two very average teams that are both going to struggle to qualify for Champions league.
