Good fight back and probably fortunate to come away with a point all things considered.

Need to realise a 1-0 lead for this team means virtually nothing. One clean sheet all season and that was home to Sunderland. We are always going to concede and 2 goals are the minimum we require to give us a chance of winning.

Casemiro has to play 90 mins. A tired version of him is still better than the other options, particularly when protecting a lead.

I like Lammens but he needs to get into the habit of diving more frequently. Noticed this across the last couple of games he's played.

The less said about the Sesko chance the better. Think the only thing injured was his ego.
I don’t know why the team doesn’t realize this.

What’s most disappointing is that they were really poor.

2 points dropped.

Mbeumo was really good again and I thought Mount pressed well and kept possession well when he came on. Lemmens was really good also.

Sesko was piss poor with his chances.

Bruno was terrible in possession and with set pieces.

Cunha poor in the 2nd half and conceded possession far too easily.
Don't really agree with some of those points, Bruno was one of the only players who got us moving at any point with progressive passes into space or away from the crowded areas. Him and Mbuemo. Too many trying to play to feet in congested areas today.

Cunha, as good as he is at holding the ball up and travelling with it, he can't be expected to do it against two or three bodies and come out on top the majority of the time.

I think as a team the attitude is better, results a little better, but we're still miles off playing smart football unfortunately. Too slow to get the support to the players in forward positions, and we don't really move into or use space well a lot of the time. When we get it right we're a threat and do score goals, but it's not near often enough and we can't maintain any fluidity or sustained pressure in our games thus far.

The second half highlighted the weakness in our squad. Ignoring central defence, we have maybe 8 good players occupying 8 positions. The drop off in quality from Casemiro to Ugarte, Mbeumo to Sesko, Cunha to Zirkzee, Amad to Dalot, Lammens to Bayindir etc is far, far too great.

We're therefore banking on those 8 players performing consistently at a high level for 90 minutes, or we're expecting mediocre players to outperform their ability.

Weird game, weird performance. Happy with the point, could have been three and could have been zero. We move. Team is improving.

We put our foot off the gas after our goal. Really need that second. Then you can try and “control” the game. We did that well but with only a one goal lead you’re inviting trouble.

Dreadfully boring game to watch, didn't liven up til the 80th minute. Certainly not worth getting up before 7.30am to watch. In the end the result was probably fare but wished we had pushed for a second, you can't defend a one goal lead for an hour.

Pretty boring game. Happy we got something out of it. Hopefully results like Fulham, Forest, and Spurs don't bite us in the arse come next May.

Throughout Amorim's tenure, it has been a consistent fact that we are dreadful in the second half. Even when we do manage to piece a win together, it tends to be based on a first-half performance while the second half is us just clinging on for dear life as it all comes tumbling down. For the last month, 100% of the goals we've conceded (7) were in the second half.

Useless

Abdolute shite yet again, 1-0 up and find themseleves 2 - 1 down for the second week running, never learn, all too predictable...team full of losers, managed by one

I just don't understand why we wond keep Casemiro on the pitch - yes his legs might be tired - but he still is a lot better than Ugarte

Pretty lucky to get the point. I thought we played well in the 1st half and deserved the lead. However, the first 15 minutes in the 2nd half exposed us when we couldn't keep the ball. It seemed like everyone needlessly gave up possession at least once during that period and I just became more and more frustrated. This is a recurring theme for us and it will not be fixed until we get a really good DM. A Berge or Anderson (NF) would do wonders for this team.

- Amad and Cunha need to be more aware of the 2nd defender. They kept dribbling and showing too much of the ball.
- Sesko looked like Hojlund there on his chances. This is the PL and you can't take your time getting shots off.
- Hope Maguire doesn't have a hammy and Sesko didn't hurt his knee.

Darn, we could be 2nd right now.

Those stats just emphasize the known facts that we don't seem able to sustain the intensity for more than 45 minutes despite only playing once a week.

Totally in control in the first half, they we went from five in midfield to the dumb five at the back and immediately handed them the initiative - and two goals. But I guess being 2-1 down in the 96th minute and with 10 men, getting a point is something.

But Amorim has to learn to be more adventurous

that's been the story for about three years... if not longer

Casemiro is our only top class DM and he's sadly at the end of his career and can't manage the full 90.

We've all said for several years that we'll never be up there fighting for titles without two world class CM players in their prime at the club.

All the noise from the better journalists suggest we're not buying in January, so it's going to remain like this until the summer most likely. Unable to control games and unable to keep clean sheets.

Spurs are in a very false position though based upon that. They are almost as shit as they were last season.

If we can fix the midfield issues and get Sesko firing/new striker I think we really do have the makings of a very good team. We desperately need someone in midfield who can control the game. Casemiros experience is vital at the moment and it shows when he goes off.

Cant help but to feel we are cursed on the no.9 position. Had Newcastle signed Sesko and we ended up with Woltemade, Sesko would be on 8/9 goals and we'd be saying Woltemade was a waste of money!

Blame lack of confidence, fitness or physicality but every player coming into the PL is told that you do not get time on the ball to dwell even less so in pen box...but looks like Sesko didnt get the memo!

RE Dorgu. People forget he just turned 21. Arent many better than him at his age.

I wish I was this positive.

I feel almost the opposite. Obliviously buzzing with a last minute goal but fuming that we conceded two goals in quick succession like last week.

Two pretty poor teams today and I guess a draw was the fair result but so frustrating how spurs subs made a big impact with yet again the players we bring on have the opposite effect.

Maybe once the dust settles I’ll see this as a point gained but right now that second half performance and result doesn’t sit right.
The big differences to last week
1. We were playing with 10 men, when we conceded the second goal. It was not just loss of concentration, being one man down is a big deal
2. Spurs may not be Arsenal and Liverpool, but they are miles better than Forrest. Better players, much better coach

At the end of the day, our midfield is SHIT and Amorim refuses to see it. That is given so I dont want to complain about it every week. Of course we should have won, but all thing consider - amazing draw, in the end

This one game a week and still slow to watch. Players look sluggish in build up.

I enjoyed watching us in the first half, seeing some really positive improvements in our football and front three. Mbuemo has made a massive difference to this side. Individually, our defenders have being doing well. Two really difficult away games in a week, and unbeaten in both.

If you have 5 subs surely its sensible to not use more than 4, keep one back for an injury.
We really need too strengthen midfield in January if we want a top 6 place. Casamiro is in beast mode in the first halves of games but once he runs out of gas around 60 minutes and is subbed off we tend to go to pieces.

Its not sad. While its not the progress we want it still better than last year. Standards have to improve and the club has to improve the squad but united lose that 3-1 last year in a collapse.

Rome wasn't built in a day but the foundations of the squad are better even with glaring issues.
Yes all that is understood but doesn’t take away the fact that we couldn’t put away a poor Spurs side and gave them a winning position.

I may feel better next week but for now - this is troubling to say the least. We have such a weak approach! Couldn’t have easily tried to score a second earlier and put the game to bed but we had no intent

They are an average team and we are somehow even worse.

One major positive from today was that Spurs' players tried to overwhelm our players with their physicality but our players were very physical too especially defensively and the ref let the game flow.

Bruno and Casemiro are an issue. They get ran through too easily. Apart from pretty much everyone played well.

To be quite honest, I have given Amorim a lot of critcism and rightly so in my opinion - but even if you see the obvious flaws in our team, the improvment is huge. The biggest change for me is that even if we go 1 or 2 goals down - we don't fall to pieces like we did last season. Apart from the City-game - in every other game we have kept fighting and picked up points from a few of those games.
I actually am starting to believe - if we get 4-5 more quality players in - we will be a REALLY good side. But it's quite obvious we need to get rid of 4-5 players and replace them with quality.

And we really need to start during winter-break and get at least 2 players in

So we’ve just needed an entire new team to be good - yet again.

I’m behind Amorim, but this cannot be the approach every time.

2-2 away to spurs who are in decent form themselves. I’d have taken before the match.

I think the fact you’re 1-0 after 80mins is what makes it feel dropped points.

We’re looking much better than last season, and it’s going to be a process, still areas to sort out, so didn’t expect much more than how we’re doing now.

My biggest issue is Sesko so far has come across another signing, where the signs were there, technically just not great, and he’s showing it on the pitch. Feel this will be another wasted purchase.

But overall, it’s still positive signs

Yes, good point.
I have been impressed with our increasing competitiveness.
But despite Casemiro having a good game, with just him and the wandering Bruno, we still can't impose ourselves for long enough.

I blame Amorin for the loss of points today. There was 15 minutes left to play and no subs left in case of injury. Total pointless gamble as Dorgu was playing well and there is no proof whatsoever that Dalot would offer anything at all, except for a portion of the Portuguese language.

I think we're slowly getting there, and showing resilience is never a bad thing, even if you shouldn't have let the lead slip in the first place. We definitely didn't deserve to lose, and probably should've won.

We need more time to gel, a better midfield, and some strength in depth off the bench. Hopefully either Sesko finds his feet or we sign a striker who can, but I think the signs are there finally that something might be happening.

It was a boring game, but just a bit of awful luck (with some poor play) cost us. Actually felt we defended well until their two goals.

Sesko should have done better for his first chance; it was a brilliant tackle for the second.

Dorgu got a yellow, in which Ruben tried to do the safe option by subbing him off, which resulted in no subs being available when Sesko got injured, meaning we played with 10 anyway.

Ugarte should have done better, or fouled him for the first goal. De Ligt was unlucky as if he didn’t block it, it looked like Lammens would save.

Ugarte’s momentum after the header made him play Richarlison onside - had he not tried to rush back, he could have blocked it.

Happy we were able to rescue the draw. We should try to kill off games, but it’s a great fight back with the limited time we had remaining

Shite performance, shite defending and shite result. Spurs were there for the taking, they're crap.

Why we are not doing any work on defending from crosses and set pieces is absolutely baffling. It seems like we concede 70-80% of our goals from those two scnearios.

3rd game in a row we've folded in the 2nd half and conceded 2 goals. A worrying trend.

I'm taking a lot of good things from the game. We were easily the better team for 70mins. And Amorims' system is slowly, thankfully, settling down, the players get it, and the objective is to just get it working more effectively, more reliably, and that takes time.

And I really am impressed with our late goals, at Forest and now Spurs.. so these are really good signs.

But, we really need a good January window. A couple of decent midfielders, quick, hungry, good attitude, will make a huge difference to us.

I don't know who, but we cannot have Mount, Zirkzee, Ugarte, Mainoo as options because they simply are not stepping up.
