TIL: we whinge when we don’t spank teams we should spank and we also whinge when we do.

Edit: Also Maguire can play as a DM at a push.

Ok, so we are better than Tranmere. Let’s try and carry this attitude into the premier league

The match was actually more entertaining than the post line up thread mark in the match day thread.

One of the most boring six nil wins I've ever seen!

we won against a poor team and a poor pitch.

Ironically, probably does us more harm than good as the board will now think everything is perfect and we don't need signings or changes!

enjoyable. We played well. Could have been a banana skin but the attitude and application was spot on. Well done lads.

I think if he used a similar formation against Burnley we would have beaten them. Hopefully Ole he is starting to realize this 4-2-3-1 formation isn't working with the injuries we have!!

Not bad.

Too many false dawns recently to be getting carried away with this result/performance, but for the love of God, at least attempt to build on this now. Go on a 7/8/9/10 match unbeaten run and get some momentum going again.

Happy with that, played well, scored goals, good day out for the supporters.
Makes a change.

Did well, especially on that shit pitch.

Happy we got 6 goals. We need some confidence even if it's against Tranmere.

On another note, why don't we just stick with this formation? I still say it suits us even if others disagree.

Nice to see us in the right side of a demolition. I know this is a league 1 team but too often do we make hard work of these games. In truth it was over within 15 minutes really. Some really nice goals there, and some rare goalscorers. Probably not as much rest to important players as I would like but still. Very nice result.

I seriously can't choose motm.
Matic for me, he as superb in the first half. Great holding midfield with little support. Got forward and supplied attacks. 5-0 with him on. Only a penalty second half With him off.

Great win. Poor opponent, but still nice to see. Lingard needed that goal. Hopefully he can find some form.

That back 3 with Lindelof and Maguire given the licence to push on actually looked quite good, it might be something to consider. Never liked that back 3 before.

Dalot is a pretty good fullback.

Lingard and Perreira don't have a future.

Greenwood is ice cold.

Chong gave his first performance that made him look as though he could become a player.

Yet another clean sheet fit Romero, What does he need to do to be given a run out in the Prem?

Well played. Maguire man of the match and Matic was good too. Hopefully we can get on a good run in the league now.

Good game. Matic showing how good he can be against certain sides. He's unplayable at times. Uses his physicality so well.

Felt more like a training or pre season game... Maguire for example didnt even celebrate his goal.

Wish Ole played more reserve/youth and not the same players he also uses in the Premier League.

If we suffer back to back relegations we should be good to spring back up to the Championship. That’s about all I could take out of that game.

There is no dishonor in celebrating this win over this opponent in this manner.

But soon enough the reality that we’re in club in crisis will creep back in.

We can do a lot with that performance. It was a League 1 side. But the principals are the same, score 2-3 very early on and the game is over.

That used to be our tactic for 20 years. This Ole United is traditionally slow starters in games, so its a massive improvement.
