Excellent first half, shite second but held on to win a tough away game. Thought Smalling and Pogba were easily the 2 stand outs today, Young also did well. Rest were meh. Sanchez started well but pretty much grew invisible as the game went on. He just always looks slow and weak these days, and it's looking more and more clear that he's on the decline IMO.

A lot of teams will struggle against Watford this season, especially on their on patch, so coming away with the 3 points is good achievement.

We were the better team overall and deserved the win in the end. Credit to Watford for making a game of it second half.

Last 30min of first half was excellent, 2nd half was pretty dire and a bit same old same old. We also have to do better with all those counter attack opportunities.

De Gea, give him what he wants and sign him for 10 years with an automatic pay increase each year.

Won the game in 15 mins, were so so for another 10 and shit the rest of the time. Is it that this team doesn't have the skill\talent to sustain good play for long periods or are they complacent?

Very mediocre. Good to see De Gea back to his phenomenal standards.

Unbelieveable second half, really how the feck can we play like that? Credit for Watford's fight I guess, but the commentator said we had only 1 shot on target. Incredible if true given the space.

Deserved win! Good performances from several players. Smalling, Lukaku, Fellaini and de Gea best. Need to be more ruthless.

We we're good for like 15 minutes.pretty good for that time.

Rest was same old shit.

Don't get why we just stop playing after taking a lead.

Nobody speak anything bad about Fellaini or Smalling after this. Shout out to De Gea too.

A draw here might have caused us to doubt our style of play, and that would have been disastrous. But this is a hard fought, welcome victory while playing decent football and perhaps could lead us onto greater things.

Finally, I am looking forward to our CL campaign knowing we are genuinely trying to play well.

I don't think its a coincidence that our LBs are thriving with Sanchez on the left.

Game of two halves. Brilliant in first half poor in second. Don't know why we make it so difficult for ourselves. Why can't we be more ruthless on the counter. We will pay for it next timW.

Renew DDG contract as soon as possible the man deserves every penny.
Good 3 points but we should have scored from those counters at second half.

We definitely can't deal with high pressing teams.

This match especially highlights that weakness.

Good first half, poor second half.

Pogba, Felliani and Smalling played really well!

Lingard and Lindelof were poor.

We scored a second and dominated the rest of the half after taking the lead?

Good win. Well deserved. Balance was right both first half and then second once two up. We really had the chance second half to kill the game off, but didn’t. The mindset and intent was right though, just not the execution.

Pogba was really good and it would have been nice to see him get the deserved goal. DDG is back in form for us.

Matic will only miss Wolves at home, so provides a good chance for Fred.

Very good in places, should have put the game well out of sight, and holding on in the end.
That save in the 93rd min was a real heart stopper!

But an excellent win, and Wolves up at home in the league next

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Very happy with the result and our first half. The team is starting to look like one but the way we started swimming once Watford scored was disappointing. Still a fairly good performance against an in form team.

Good result away to an in form team. Fellaini and De Gea our best players today. I miss the days when we were clinical on the counter.

We need to really focus on counters in training, we look lost when we’ve got space

Thank god for that! Great performance in the first half, should have had them buried there and then. But if you don't take your chances then there is always that threat. Watford are no mugs, they are one of the in form teams at the moment so it was a good win away from home to them. Shame about the Matic red, thought he had a good game but fortunately it is only one game.

Martial has gone completely off the boil, his lack of effort was unforgivable

A total game of 2 halves. Thank you David for saving the day in the second half. Foster did it for them in the first half.

thats it get a dig in.

great 3 points against an in form team. will take it
It’s not a dig. It’s painful because want Sanchez to succeed and he’s busting a gut. But it just seems whatever he tries just takes that much more effort and it’s still not coming off for him. He’s just not getting the bounces. So for me, the output is not justifying the 350k or whatever he’s on.

I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact our players pass like it's Sunday league or the sheer incompetence of Premiership referees, god they are awful, bordering on disgrace.

Good performance on the whole. Think this team has potential, and it’s clear we are lacking in those 7 and 11 areas, where the top sides really tend to park a special player or two. We should have killed that game ages ago.

The team is as organised as it can be at the moment, only thing we possibly need is more individual quality now.

Shithouse'd our way to 3 points that could be vital for 4th place agiven Spurs last 2 results, soul destroying stuff to watch though bar a couple of nice moments from Pogba and a couple of top saves from De Gea.
