Three defeats on the trot...

Simply not good enough going forward.

Herrera and Mata were baby sitting Fellaini, Valencia and Rooney. Neither of that trio had the capacity to do anything positive going forward. Young stayed wide to keep width.

Van Persie was clearly under instruction to drop deep and provide a foil for Fellaini and Rooney to run on to but neither did anything of note going forward to match that movement.

McNair should have scored. Van Persie should have netted the penalty too. That said, we still weren’t good enough against a basic block defence of 2 banks of 4. Funadamental issues with movement that Di Maria should have been brought on for earlier, or following the previous 2 results and current form of Fellaini, should have started.

3 defeats in a row, each with caveats but 0 points nonetheless. Must do better. Fellaini needs to be dropped. Rooney should be too in truth.

Getting nervous again now. We've taken about five steps back in the last two games.

Can't score ONE GOAL with Rooney (Highest Goal Scorer), RvP (Goal Machine), Mata (Twice Chelsea's Player of the Season), Di Maria (Real Madrid's player of the season), and the oncoming Falcao (Atletico Madrid's legend)

How depressing can football get?

LVG seems to be a bit clueless when he actually has some players to choose from. RVP and Rooney in midfield, seriously? 3 losses in a row, not even Moyes managed that.

Scary how important Carrick is to this team. He's about three times better than any of our other players in his position, and when he's not there Herrera is playing his position, which clearly limits him and doesn't suit him at all. As a result, our attacking play suffers because Herrera is one of the few players who can consistently beat a man and open up some space.

Another poor performance all around.

Bring the "bye bye top 4" thread back!!!

on another note, that was shit. no positive to be had besides the 80 odd possession which of course means feck all if you do feck all with it.

We're so easy to play against. Absolutely no ability to break down a team that defends.

van Gaal depressing

3 losses in a row, 3 games in a row that we failed to score in. A new record?

The most undeserved win I have ever seen in my life.

credit their goalie. he saved 3 shots which can be a goal in any day

Our players finding it difficult to shoot on target the last couple of games.

That was absolutely abysmal.

Absolutely impotent performance. No goals in the last 3 games. Looking at the way we play, we do not deserve to be in the champions league.

Van Gaal's worst game. Awful tactics. Young to Rooney to Herrera to Valencia to Herrera to Rooney to Young to Ro.....

We are making top 4 a struggle. If we lose the top 4 in this position then LVG will have some serious explaining to do

Not much luck but we hardly created anything for 85 mins.

I can't get my head around why Van Persie, who was looking dagerous all game, gets put in midfield, whilst Fellaini, who offers absolutely nothing apart from being tall, is ordered to waste the space up front and jump up from time to time.

We deserve to miss out on top 4 as much as Newcastle deserve to be relegated.

Bottlers and fount out. Makes all the brave speeches on how we 'outplayed' Chelsea a few weeks back all the more laughable.

what the bloody heck was that?!

3 games lost in a row without scoring? Got to go back decades to match that.

Should stop all the silly talk about competing for the league, huge work to be done still.

Just as well Liverpool bungled that double header recently, or we'd be in major sh!T.

4 points, 3 games to go...tigher than it needs to be

Not the best performance but we could have won today with better finishing. The penalty was crucial.

We're still 4 points ahead so winning at crystal palace is important. That could put us in a great position again.

Woeful. Absolutely woeful, players look like they're on their holidays but the job isn't done yet.

Pathetic. Not helped by WBA being lucky as feck.

We cannot play Fellaini against team that we setup to defend & hit us on the break.
Its like playing with 10 men, he is just not mobile enough & contribute nothing.

Too many players outside their best position for my liking. WBA will be very tight at the back and I worry that our build up will be too slow and powerless to create anything. One of those Fellaini games.

Wonder how many said something similar before the game. Awfully predictable match. So little creativity, pace and ability to beat a man.

Pathetic. I'm too annoyed to say any more than that.

Not enough quality out wide or in midfield, McNair is a liability defensively and jones should have played.

Top four could still be a struggle, it's pretty clear how you can stop us now and we don't seem to have an answer.

It's clear the players are afraid to take risks because LVG has drilled it into them that they should be patient and think before doing anything.

Which leads to insecure, stale and unbelievably boring football.

3rd is almost certainly gone. Will do well to hang on to 4th.

But then we'd have to play the qualifiers. We better get our shit together by then... that is, if we can hang on to 4th

Can't be bothered to name and shame players because everybody looked fecking shit, in before Spanish brigade praising Mata and Herrera with their fecking sideways passes that created feck all.

LVG takes all the blame for me for this kind of shit. We've been painfully found out by Mourinho (in a match that we've allegedly dominated) and now everybody is simply using the blueprint laid out by Jose. Defend with everybody, give United the ball and watch them be clueless. Loss at SB was acceptable, 3-0 to Everton away was not, 1-0 against WBA is just fecking laughable. 3 defeats in the league back to back first time in 13 years, first time 3 league matches in a row without a goal in 8 years and our next three games are against Pardiola away, Hull away and Arsenal home, we literally have to pray now for Slippers to slip again.

And oh wow, Fellaini to #9, RVP to midfield, Rooney in midfield and other shit from today, what the feck.

Once again, absolute shite against a parked bus. I can't believe how frustrating that was.

Watch us beat Arsenal 3-0 then lose the other 3 games!

We need to be able to break down teams who sit back and counter. It's nice winning the open games, but these are the bread and butter games which win you the league. 3 losses in a row, disgraceful.

If we lose out on C.L - then LvG has to go!

And in that case - he can bring di Maria with him wherever he goes

Absolute shite. I know we didn't exactly play great but f*ck West Brom and their shitty approach. Pathetically jammy goal and then defending for their lives for the rest of the game. Everything bouncing around in the penalty area just fell to them. Every single thing. Pissed off.

Congrats to WBA, Mourinho ain't got shit on Pulis. Fletcher was good, the tribute to Rio was the moment of the day. Their keeper was MOTM...

So with 4 huge guys in the back line, we decide to put Fellaini up top and pump aimless loopy crosses and long ball into him. That is the solution to the problem? That was as bad as the Fulham game for which Moyes was slaughtered.
