Only Martial and De Gea, fit enough to have that badge on their chest, and with each passing game he plays Rooney just compounds how much damage David Moyes's reign has done to our club, it's still damaging us with every wageslip this guy collects, he is absolutely shot as a top player, yet picks up ballon'dor type wages, we are a Shambles.
Felt devastated by that result. Martial single-handedly got us in front and we still managed to capitulate. Given the attach on the coach, the commentators continually waxing lyrical about West Ham's all-round magnificence, and our need for the three points, I was desperate for a win.
What's frustrating is that West Ham adopted a basic high-intensity, high-ball approach and we made enough errors to gift them at least a couple of goals. Our defending was so bad at times I had to wonder if the late kick off was lingering in players' minds. No excuses, though, it was a night where we needed a result and we didn't do anywhere near enough.

He's more of a holding midfielder but not one that is up for a fight when it gets physical.I know he has a poor disciplinary record this season but Wanyama is far better in those situations. Fellaini would have made a physical difference but LVG knew all about this before the game, indeed, before the season started.
He really has been clueless about the demands of the PL.At least Bilic has set out his team to be physical.They are are simply a cultured Sam Allardyce team but they can get results.We, on the other hand,when we really need to turn up simply don't.That is down to the coach!
Yes you shouldn't give stupid fouls away, but surely if you know someone is a threat at set pieces, you actually work out how to defend them properly. You are always going to give fouls away, even if they aren't fouls. The CB pairing was abysmal. Are we never, ever supposed to give corners, freekicks away because those poor dears can't defend. They are supposedly defenders, then do your bloody job.

That performance was more consistent with what we've seen throughout the season. Like you said, we didn't bottle it we're just shit. A combination of poor management, lack of passion and not good enough players.

You need to read properly mate. You can infer whatever. I only watched the phone-in part but the fans were showing restrained anger, apart from a couple of idiots sticking up for the manager. That Fergie was given time, he was a young man you idiots, they could afford to give him time. Most want LvG gone and one thought we needed two new CB's not just one. It was the defence that got the most criticism, also Rooney for not being a leader.
I saw Herrera win the ball and Rooney collecting it to give it to Martial with a simple pass. Did you see the game right or is your Rooney love getting in the way?
EDIT: He is a forced option because of that fraud in charge. Everyone and his dog could see depending on Rooney and 'my captain always plays' will get us fecked and it royally has. Also, what creativity did he provide apart from pinging the balls out wide every time. Is that what creativity means now to people?
Isn't the problem with Rashford that LvG has put far too much on such young shoulders. As you say he is a kid and his form will dip. He should either have kept one of our strikers or bought and experienced one. A lot of our problems are of the managers making.
I feel that it's really not right the coverage West am were given from the get go - right to Tylers pre planned headline once reid scored. It was so one sided and apparently it was all over a stadium? Weirdos. West Ham started well. Got the lucky first goal. When we went 1-2 up then we lost our concentration. Too many free kicks given away and no leader at the back to clear the ball. But I think it's disappointing the level of bias and I don't believe the media have been honest. In fact, I think they're full of shite.
It was definitely Herrera who won the ball.
We should not let facts get in the way of other people fantasies about how Rooney is our best creative option.

Rooney's best was 5 years ago. Mata and Rooney are similar right now. Both past their best, neither really fit the bill of the team we need to build. If forced to choose, I'd definitely pick Mata, though, his technique is impeccable and he can still needle those perfectly weighted passes which are always handy.
I think it was a case of showing some desire and ignoring Herrera's contribution because he had been so poor from the outset.
